So, in related news, randomouscrap has stated that he will no longer be updating this site ever again so... You know... Have fun editing the JS or whatever

on 3ds for avatar we should be able to url for avatar. for this i had to use chrome cast.
Security problems stop me from doing this. I'm not comfortable enough with security to do this properly, sorry.
we need the ability to follow people or something similar. we also need the ability to delete our own threads, i need one of mine deleted, official tower defense thread.
You can't delete threads you make because the OP isn't the only one who "contributes" to a thread. There are LOTS of instances of threads where the OP gets pissy and deletes a thread and we lose hundreds of OTHER people's posts that may have been useful. That's why only admins can delete threads. Also, it's hard to add "following users" in the current system, and it would take too many dozens of hours of refactoring the entire event system to make it work. I'm sorry.
something that would be cool is the ability to add people to private tabs instead of making an entirely new tab.
Problem is that, just like with threads, giving people ANY amount of power over other people is usually a bad thing (unless they're an admin). The ability to add people would also require the ability to remove, and I can foresee LOTS of problems with people kicking others at random from their "prestigious" pm rooms. Also, it would be VERY easy for someone to "spam" you into a PM room that you don't want to be in. Imagine someone makes a room with you and 10 other people, and you don't want to be in it so you leave. But they INSIST that you're in it, so they keep adding you to the room. This doesn't exactly work in the current system since you'd have to make a new room with all 10 people in it again. I'm sorry; I don't want this.
I might be the only one here that thinks this is a good idea, but it would be nice to know when someone is typing a message in the chat, whether it be in a private chat or off-topic, with a simple ". . ." message under their avatar to show they're typing. Or maybe someone already mentioned something like this and there was a reason no one added it.
I don't like the "..." things in ANY system. This sums it up nicely: https://m.xkcd.com/1886/

Make flag notifications go away if the message was deleted?
Can't without dozens of hours of refactoring. Sorry.
Hmm, an ajax notifier for new activity on any page would be nice. Something subtle, like making the text for the activity tab italic or whatnot.
Too much work for something that only slightly improves the experience for a few people. I'm sorry.
Quote button on page comments. Before the chat session is opened (and, if applicable, the current chat session is closed because of this), check if there is a currently opened session and if there is, ask if they still want to open it (and close the other one).
IIRC, quoting on comments doesn't exactly work anyway, which is why there's no button. Can't do the chat thing without a huge refactoring also. The system isn't set up so you can contact the chat to see who's in it BEFORE you enter chat. You have to enter chat before you get information, so... I'm sorry, it's too much work.
Status of 'Chatting' or 'Idle in Chat' added to user profiles.
Same thing as above: no way of seeing who's in chat without being in chat. No way to make this work nicely without a huge rewrite.
to the chat we should be able to search users. i would like that.
You can technically search users with the /uactest command. For instance, /uactest ??rand should return your username. All commands that take a username accept the ?? syntax (which is "best match from all users")

Maybe a large community drawing area (5000x5000 pixels, more or less) kind of like r/place? I think it would be interesting. It doesn’t have to be on the main site and would be purely experimental.
Too many problems; sorry I'm not doing this one either.

Yeah not too long after posting that I began to realize the fundamental problems with that idea. Great for reddit, but not so great here.

i mean for pms.

Use /pmcreate user [user [...]] to create private rooms, which allows the addition of users who are not present.

* draw.smilebasicsource.com: * palette/color history toolbar. 4 colors is enough, but the color input type is... deficient. I suppose I could use a layer as a palette but I'm not sure how I feel about that. * Cursor position display. I tried to make 64x64 cells and it was hard :( Will accept hidden data accessible with CSS compromises.

Colors... uhh if I can't use the color input type, do you expect me to make a JS color selector? That takes SOOOO much work ugh.... maybe. What is "cursor position display"?

A real color selector isn't necessary if you have a palette widget. That said, the layer hack is actually more suitable than expected. Many (Most?) drawing program display the brush coordinates somewhere:

Oohhhh that. Hm. That'll be a bit difficult, unfortunately. Different tools have a different like... "magical offset" to fix JS badness..... uhhh maybe I can figure something out. In the meantime, I can make a toggleable grid if you want.

sad face yes please Edit: one thing a lot of programs miss for some reason is an [easy] way to set arbitrary grid sizes. Can it be accomplished softly?

we should get notifications for new users. they might want some friends when they join, and i want to see it when theres new people.

There are, but I don't think everyone can see them.

Pretty sure the module was buggy but if people care enough and Random won't fix it I'll just write PollX lol
