This sounds like a cool thing, since there’s likely not going to be another official contest, but I do have some questions.
First, how are you going to give the winners the prizes?
Also, it would be better IMO to allow programs to be submitted from the start of the contest until the end, not just in four days (unless those four days are the span of the contest?) And, if the contest starts today, it only gives users 18-19 days to make their program. I think that the standard one-month span like in official contests would be better, as it takes a while to make a nice game.
If those two things were changed in the rules, then I would probably enter the contest.
I would enter had it not started right as i leave for camp (ill be gone July 1-7 lol) and on 30th ill be packing still. :/
Since this is horror-themed why not end it on or the day after halloween or so?

The dates now are,
Jun 16 - September 30 on the making of the program.
I don't want to wait until the 30th of October so,
It will be October 5th that I'm taking submissions in.
Then after that voting will start October 10th to make sure everyone has their programs in.
Then the winners will be chosen on the 13th.
(I hope that's better I agree with the lack of time thing)
Prizes will be delivered directly through smilebasic source messaging. I,will announce the winners early on the 13th and give a prize to them before late afternoon.
If possible I might be able to raise the prize to 20 on the eshop by then but ill just keep that under until I know for sure.
I hope @SwanBot I gave you enough time I did take your camp under consideration when changing that dates.
Also @ProKuKu I hope the change will encourage you to enter.

I didn't do,it on Halloween but at least it is in October.
Between the 30th of September and October 5th you guys can take a final look at your programs and make sure there alright and don't have errors.
You can submit it at any time
From now until October 5th

I just ask that on October 5th tell me that you have entered so there is no mix ups.
If you work hard at a program I want you to have a fair shot.

That should be plenty of time and those who are busy during the summer can have a chance. It's also long enough to either gain a lot of attention or to be forgotten but the latter is less likely.

Idk, 100+ days is definitely enough time to make a good game, but 2-3 months would already be enough imo. I’d say from June 15th to August 30th would be good enough, just so that it’s still in peoples heads by the time voting comes around.

What I meant by new program is that
If you published a horror game before, you cannot use it in the contest.
But yes use whatever you want to aid in the production of your game.
idk if you’ve seen already, but the new update is actually going to come to America and possibly Europe (June 28th) which has caused Lumage to possibly allow another Official contest. Do you think you’ll still keep this one going even with an official contest possibly happening at the same time? Most people will probably focus on the official one more, so it’s up to you.
