There's nothing wrong with voting for yourself, if you really think your entry is good enough. Just don't ONLY vote for yourself just to increase your chances of winning, because that's just bad (and I don't think it'll work anyway)Please be respectful of the amount of votes. You probably don't want to vote for yourself then, people who were going to vote for themselves.
I leave for two days and come back to 100 notifs... SBS in full throttle right there.I think is because programs we submit are little, which means that you don't need to make bigger projects to participate, projects which usually take weeks/months to make. Sometime ago, someone posted a contest with real money for people who make full gaims, and only a few participate on it. I don't even know who win on it.
Yeah, I saw that, the spring 2017 contest was won by Nathaniel with Propulsion.I leave for two days and come back to 100 notifs... Yeah, I saw that, the spring 2017 contest was won by Nathaniel with Propulsion. But everyone who entered had fun, and won a forum badge! Hooray for participation awards!
bleh so many things more impressive than mine a-and even my rival has an impressive e-entryWho, if I might ask, is your rival? My name is BLUE, so are you RED?
Umm... I'm not your "RED." Sorry, but I'd be embarrassed to share who my "BLUE" is.bleh so many things more impressive than mine a-and even my rival has an impressive e-entryWho, if I might ask, is your rival? My name is BLUE, so are you RED?
But I'm supposed to vote for 5 entries so I'll be losing to at least 4 better entries D:bleh so many things more impressive than mine a-and even my rival has an impressive e-entryDon't worry, just use your 500 alt accounts to vote for your entry!
I didnt make the final poll? Thats ok! It was fun! As long as I grab a badge to expand my small collection! It was my first contest and I mainly download other player's games.
No need for an apology lol, it was my bad for not giving the game a name in the first place. XDmy plan got veto'd 1 day before the deadline.... so.... sorry?...I simply named the poll choices what the file name was.Which I definitely wish I had known before I named my little game "Thing-OSP" lol.
Lol, you still got a vote without a name.No need for an apology lol, it was my bad for not giving the game a name in the first place. Ideas for another non prize competition:
BEST Tutorial program
-You need to make an interactive tutorial on one of the Functions in Smile BASIC. Your choice, could be as simple as full guide for PRINT (if you are a beginner) or one of the crazy ones (if you are an expert).
-in your program try to explain the full concept, or at least try to go in depth, with whatever functions you choose.
-have a 2nd (or how many you want) simple example program, that has an error in it, that can be solved once you finish the tutorial. (by asking the user to enter the source and fix it, probably no more then 2-3 lines that need to be fixed. Example for a print error sample...
Spoiler
'FIX the lines below, then run the program. X$="WORDS" 'get the first line to PRINT "WORDS", by fixing the syntax error PRINT "X$ 'fix the syntax here by placing the missing divider PRINT "I like "X$ 'with what one single symbol, you can PRINT this line? "This is the string to print"There is a lot more you could do with a PRINT test, but I left this super simple in case someone really wanted to do an in depth one.
