lol I think it kinda depends on what kind of person you are. Like if you're lazy, or like to work on stuff. If you like it when people get you to do stuff or not. Stuff like that.Counterpoint: please break it so that randomous is forced to add the functionalityAs the creator of my own forum/coding/showcase site .. I know just how frustrating it can be when users force your hand to make a change. If anything, it makes you LESS likely to bother to do it!!
SmileBASIC 4 Discussion「プチコン4」
Hi, is the US release early 2020(?)
No schedule yet, AFAIK. They're still working through any major bugs in the version whilst it's still limited to Japanese (or otherwise) users. (As opposed to releasing it worldwide, and then finding a MAJOR bug which breaks a million Switches!)
But the list of bugs they occasionally post at https://sup4.smilebasic.com/doku.php is getting smaller, and less frequent, so .. I think they're on a good path.

Thank you for the info!
PetitCom4 got a nice big update, today, with all manner of bug fixes, but also a whole host of new additions and upgrades, including new ways to search the online game collection with different sort types showing recent uploads and such. There's also tags that you can add to your games for genres, whether it supports toy-cons, multiplayer, etc..
Plenty of underplaying tweaks, a massive update to the way default objects (sounds, sprites, etc) are displayed in the F9 doohickey, and also a really big upgrade to the look of the default Sprite editor tool, too. (Although, if I'm honest, the new interface is a teensy bit too small for onscreen figure pointing)
All in all, a nice big update.
.. and I don't think any of my games broke!!!
Had a brief heart attack when it broke all my projects, but it turns out they just added the FIND() function so I didn't have to define my own.
otya just released a nice GUI debugging tool for SB4, includes sprite and graphic inspecting tools

Yep, those were added in the last update, along with the new button-based F9 menu doohickey. I do quite like the new interface, but I'd gotten used to hitting (X) to silence the music, except now (X) quits the menu, instead! D'oh!!!
Incidentally, a number of the BGMs have been rerendered in high quality, with "bigger" instruments, and are now available on the Unity Asset store.. Youtube Clip
4.2.0 got released. (nice)
Some really neat additions, like getting two more program slots!
