Virtual Buffalo may look like a pet simulator, but don't be fooled: This bovid is always seconds away from death, and needs all your concentration just to survive another day! Press buttons with matching colors to complete a slog of split-second minigames. But be warned, the controls keep changing the longer you play! Will you be able to remember which button is which when they're all grayed out and switching places with each other?

How do you make all this amazing stuff. Also, aren't you entering this in the contest? Don't forget to add the category!

Whoops, good call! Totally forgot to add the categories. Thanks!

OMG, this is so much like WarioWare! I love it!

Wait, so is this like MyPet but fleshed out?

I admit I haven't played that one yet. Got a link for me? The virtual pet theme is more like an excuse plot. The real heart of the game is trying to keep track of your ever-changing controls. As if somebody was messing with your controller to try and trip you up.

Dude, the animations in this game are Awesome, and I love all the mini games (besides the slots one)! 9/10 if I'm being honest!

Haha yeah SLOTS is due for a balance patch. In the next release, the plan is to indicate which color is being pushed even if it's not lined up properly.

Planning on multiple patches before the deadline, so if anything else needs work I'm all ears!

I love the game so far! Though, you should add some form of progression. Like unlockable color themes, bonus minigames, a sound test, etc. There should also be a way to exit the to the home menu while playing (if that doesn't take away from the game). Also, how did you take those screenshots and put them in an animated loop?

Thanks! There's a progression plan in place: Up until the deadline I'm planning to add more minigames and new modes when they're ready. Essentially what you're playing is the Beta, and there will be multiple updates before final release (voting starts). I opted for that instead of locking things away at the start. You can tap the Timer between minigames to pause and return to the menu. Hard difficulty does not have that feature. The "screenshots" you're seeing are heavily doctored fakes. Lots of MSpaint, Paint.net, Adobe Flash, GIMP, the works.

This game is really cool! I like how fast-paced it is, you really have to concentrate in order to keep up. The style of gameplay you use in your programs is also cool too, it makes them seem more simplistic and user-friendly! Maybe you could release a library or something to allow others to use the UI in their programs too! I sure would! This is awesome! There’s one bug though: when disabling the CRT filter, the colon for the clock doesn’t appear. Normally this wouldn’t be much of a problem, but it actually crashes the game when you score on the leaderboards. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks!

Oh sorry! I should mention the Z debug menu is not really meant to be messed with. Half of them are depreciated. There's definitely some unhandled exceptions if you go in and change the code. Instead I added a button on the touch screen where you can toggle it at any time.

I found a minor bug: If the player manages to get a score over 9999 then, when the game is over, the last number on the counter will kind of overlay itself.

what a masterpiece, you WILL win again!

The touch screen “screenshot” doesn’t have the music or sound toggle buttons!

Good catch! Got a fix for that in 1.0.1

Patch Notes:
1.0.1
  • Version number added to title screen
  • Added touch screen icons for toggling scan lines and flashing screens
  • SLOTS now indicates any valid color, regardless of timing
  • Fixed 5+ digit scores not drawing properly
  • Added additional music snippets to Medium/Hard BGM
