Bears have evolved the ability to shapeshift into anything (or anyone) you can imagine! (Or maybe your eyesight is just really poor?) Either way, one wrong step could be your last in the randomly generated world of Super Bearland. Hunt those beasts down before they hunt you! Talk to people to get Clues about the Bear's location and disguise. Check objects to find the Tools you need to take the Bear down! But if you accidentally Talk to or Check the Bear, it's Game Over! Each round lasts 2-5 minutes, but no two games are alike with randomized levels, optional challenges, and a heaping helping of unlockables. Keep playing and experimenting to see if you can find them all!

Will you be making a port for SB4?

Will you be making a port for SB4?
Maybe. Both this and Virtual Buffalo were heavily deigned to fit the 3DS. Transitioning to a single landscape screen will be tricky.

Maybe you could split the screen vertically to display the text on the left and the map on the right. Although you would have to sacrifice some space. You could also do a button toggle between the text screen and the map screen. Just some ideas.

That's the current plan, yes - splitting vertically. The trick is just getting the layout to feel good and natural. At this time I'm undecided between making ports or completely new ideas.

If you want to be goofy, you can use LMATRIX tricks to put the display into portrait and force people to hold their switch sideways (don't do this unless you provide an option.)

I've got no intention to develop games you can't comfortably play both docked or undocked. Best to save that for April 1st.

I found a bug where if you change the color it also highlights the # or towns option and the selections are screwed up if you haven't unlocked any other game mode. When I would try to change the color it would turn on challenge mode among other similar oddities.

Good catch, I'll clean that up

Wonder how you would port VB if you were to do that... Maybe split the screen horizontally? Idk...

I've got a few ideas on how to make it work... but none of them are really winning me over yet. We'll just have to see

Ooh, this reminds me of those old-school adventure games! Really interesting!
Guilty as charged - I had a lot of influences for this project but I think Transylvania for the Apple II was the main source. (Not a very good game but it absolutely stuck with me.)

OOH I know how you could make VB work on SB4 You could have what's going on with the buffalo in the main area of the screen and in the corner have a small box with the buttons on it, kinda how I would do a mini-map but with buttons instead of a map. Idk

I'm experimenting with layouts, and that's already one of them. It's functional but it doesn't feel quite right yet. Won't settle for anything less
