Site update 4/28/16:
[poll=p1][/poll]
So I'm SURE there are going to be a STUPENDOUS amount of bugs surrounding what is essentially site-wide polls, but I THINK they work... maybe.
The idea is that polls are NOT tied to a post, comment, page, or anything else. They're stored within the website so you can use them in any bbcode-enabled area. Simply create a poll with the "Poll" bbcode tool and it'll paste the bbcode into your post. You can copy this bbcode and put it anywhere, and you'll be able to access the same poll. You can even post other people's polls (but you won't have control over them, of course). Polls have no other access than the poll tool right now, and I'm guessing there will be poll-breaking bugs, so keep in mind that polls are likely to be reset in the near future due to unforeseen circumstances. Don't go making any really important polls for a while!
Site Updates [OLD]
Root / Site Discussion / [.]
Site update 5/9/16:
- Changed margins on resource pages
- Fixed a bug where using adblock would make the delete dialog not show up. This is because adblock puts a display: none on elements containing ads, and I was (accidentally) putting the delete form in the first section on the page (which happened to be an advertisement).
Site update 5-12-16:
- Added /cls command to chat. You can also do /clearscreen. It will clear the screen. Screen. Clearing. Clear screen.
- You can now use URLs when adding images to a page. This means you can use images directly from miiverse rather than downloading then reuploading them. If this causes problems, I'll fix it as fast as I can.
Sweeeeeet...
Now Miiverse images are more favorable to use and I can stop downloading images that I call "RPG5" or whatever.
SITE UPDATE... UHHHH MAY SOMETHING:
- You can now close polls if you created them (or are a 2 star admin)
- Poll system is now complete. If you create hidden result polls, closing them will reveal the results (and stop people from voting)
- Consolidated various admin pages into the "admin" page. This only really affects me, as the extra pages weren't used by anybody else.
- Perska is a complainer, so I added bbcode tools to the "Notes" field on page uploads (jk Perska, you're awesome)
- Changed headers when editing a page. Now instead of saying "Submit a Program", it'll say "Editing Whatever" (only when editing).
- PM room styling updated (chat)
- Userlist styling updated (chat)
- There's now a button to leave pm rooms (chat)
Site Update May 30, 2016:
- Added recent polls to the front page. It uses an algorithm with selects polls based on a special distribution, so just because your poll is brand new doesn't mean it'll show up there.
- Added a place to view all polls. Check it out
- Some random hidden stuff that I honestly don't remember changing. Maybe chat things?
Site Update June 5, 2016:
- Submission has been changed from "SUCCESS/ERROR/RUNNING" text to a button recolor. This MAY cause unforeseen problems with some submissions, so please let us know. You are now told the errors directly.
- Changed many colors throughout the website so it's more standardized. Some things have gotten brighter as a result, as they've been updated to the latest color.
- User links are now ALWAYS the same blue. This is most noticeable on the search page.
- All alert text and background is now the same red. If you have any issues (like missing colors), please let me know
- All buttons are now the same color. This has caused them to get brighter; if you prefer the old buttons, it's a relatively easy fix.
- All links styling is now standard (save for the individual colors). This may break some things.
- Changed shadows so they give a more 3D appearance. They have also been recolored to black with transparency; let us know if you see any shadow errors.
Site Update June 6, 2016:
- Added subtheme system. You can activate subthemes through your "special" field in your settings. Subthemes begin with sub:, followed by the name of the subtheme. For instance, to activate the "dark" subtheme, you can add sub:dark to your special field
- Added a mostly complete "dark" subtheme to the website. Most of it is done, but a few things haven't been updated. If you are OK with a few missing colors here and there, you can activate the dark theme by adding sub:dark to your "special" field in your settings.
Site Update June 6, 2016 #2:
- When doing a bbcode preview, polls, spoilers, and all other things will now be properly generated
- Added the [youtube] tag. Example: [youtube]https://youtu.be/dQw4w9WgXcQ[/youtube]. It accepts most youtube URL formats as LONG as there's no extra data. For the highest compatibility, just copy and paste shareable link provided by youtube when you click the "share" button. Also, I KNOW youtube videos look weird on the history. Our bbcode parser is absolutely terrible and I don't feel like writing my own, so we're stuck with the weirdness.
Site Update June 7, 2016:
- Finished the dark subtheme. Don't forget: you can enable it by adding sub:dark to the special field in your settings
- Visited links in user posts and the chat now have a distinct color (It's all for you, Perska)
- You can now switch between the light and dark themes by clicking the yellow Sun/Moon icon in the footer.
- The "special" field in your options now splits by both commas and spaces. If you originally had multiple values in your special field and now they don't work, please let me know.
