CYMOS is the successor to サカキバラUI and brings in a more enhanced environment for applications. If you want to help me out with new ideas, or simply join development of this project, check out the CYMOS development thread here. CYMOS page on my website: here

Instructions:

Just download the project and run ----START----. If you already have a CYMOS installation, copy the CYPK files and -SETUP- and run the setup in the existing folder. (Not applicable for release 24010108)

Notes:

- This project supports enhancements made by the SmileBASIC-CYX Plugin. - CYMOS is currently in beta and is missing some core components. Check out the development thread for updates. - The project wasn't yet thoroughly tested on Wii U and may not function properly in PetitCom BIG.

How can I get サカキバラUI versions? Sakakibara UI can still be downloaded with either a public key or as a ZIP download for use with SBFM, FBI or CYX.

It's interesting. Too many mock os's are made to look like windows. Try something like making the start menu taller and slide in from the side or something like that.

Oh well. I'm currently busy to make it look exactly like Windows 95, or a similar one.  Also: I'm currently making a YT video about a question my subz asked for

95? that's cool. Try replacing the keyboard with a more white vintage looking one.

Just what I always wanted, aside from a fighting game where the PC guy, Justin Long, Android bot, Linux penguin etc. beat the respective crap out of one another.

Well, I'm a beginner, so it might take some time. But I guess I update it in little portions one at the time. ˇ•ˇ

A filesystem would be cool. Challenge: allow subdirectories.

Uuh… What? A... filesystem...?
˙How the **** am I supposed to do it...

But telling you how will spoil the challenge :( But here's a
hintTry using meta data to store virtual file locations. This will allow you to leave all the files in your project folder in their natural sb locations and store complex paths such as "Drive/sys/a_file.exec". Since there are no text dat files you will either have to convert strings to numbers or just use a plain text file for the meta. You can use something similar for creating "desktop shortcuts". I'll leave file path structure and handling to you.

I'm just a beginner and don't know about a lot.
To be honestI only know: ?,IF,ELSEIF,REPEAT,WHILE,WAIT/VSYNC,BGMPLAY/-STOP/-CONT/-PAUSE And nothing else. I don't think that METADATA might be something with DATA. (WHAT I CANNOT DO (right now)!)

tipsMeta data is basically tag data which stores some descriptive information for a larger quantity of data. To create and edit your meta data in another file you can use prgedit, prgget, etc. You can find descriptions for these by typing in prg, tapping the autocomplete for an item, and tapping the help button. I think you can find almost the same information in the manual, especially at http://smilebasic.com/en/reference/. You can find a lot of useful instruction information there. Try tapping each letter on the keyboard to see if any commands start with it an tapping the help button to see what it does.

This is the best!

I updated it now! (Of course, you must redownload the package!) Either look in the file "CHANGELOG" or progress through the setup, open the start menu and select "About" to see the content that was changed!
