This game used to be called Thrust. But, because of copyright reasons, the name has been changed to Propulsion. - Story - On your way to your new home planet, Kepler, the secondary ship collides with an asteroid causing it to veer off course and into a wormhole. This takes you to a unknown planet and your mission is to find your way back through the many levels presented. - Description - A game that has you control a space ship through 45 unique and challenging levels. Collect pixels, race the clock, and carefully maneuver through the levels to collect badges. Beating the game will allow you to play the game in the "PRIZE" file. Or you can just rename the "SECRETS" file to "SAVE_DATA"...

Instructions:

It'd be cool if there was stick controls for some more fine control over the thrusters, but I was looking at the code, and seems kinda hard to implement. Still, would be kinda cool. Really cool game, very interesting and fun to get into. ps:same name? that's so cool
hmm.. yeah ok I think I understand

If anyone has an old 3DS, can you check to see if the lasers in the second level are flashing?
I updated the demo. Can you see if it runs faster than the original?

I accidentally typed an incorrect variable for the death animation. The page should be updated.

I'm going to start to make the game easier...

Fixed (maybe)... You can see if it's easier when you have time.

That's a good idea, but I feel that the less fine controls provide some challenge to the game.

What's that diamond thing in the screenshot?

The world map. It's used to select the levels.

It would be interesting if you could control the thrusters with the volume and 3D sliders, but we don't even know if it's possible to get the volume slider pos. Anyway, I think it would be a good idea to make the ship hover at the start of the level until you press a button. That way if the level starts and you aren't paying attention you won't die right away.

Another idea is to have a quick-but-not-too-quick countdown.

Good ideas. I'm also thinking about increasing the air friction to make the game a bit easier.

yeah like a startup would be nice, like a 3... 2... 1...

I've also found that it's easier to avoid obstacles when the shield is broken; it might be easier if you make it smaller.

I decreased the size of the the shield for the last hit so the player can go through narrow gaps. This will be a mechanic later in the game.

Lol, this is a demo, not a full game, stop asking for improvements on the demo and save any requests until it's actually released 12me21. =P

I like to think of this as helping him with the full game, as a demo (like this) means hes not done making it so its better to say things now than later when it hard to fix
