welcome! i finally made this thing after being told to a million times.. by everyone helping/following this. *WARNING* MOST OF THESE PICTURES ARE OLD, THEY ARE JUST TO SHOW THE PROGRESS ANS STUFF SO YEAH DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT OLDER PICTURES PLEASE anyways. im going to try to list all the current things added. -Shooting bullets that can be changed in many ways to fit the needs or effects (done by pressing A)- (normal bullets) (colored bullets) (testing lightning bullets) (and a ton more stuff) -Shooting backwards by pressing B- -A red aimer currently activated by pressing L- -(not added, added in next update) light turned on by pressing R- -Pause menu, opened by pressing X- currently Jacob is working on improving and updating this, so soon it will be a lot cooler or better idk. -Map with collision, and useful stuff- tons of stuff here that i made, so theres collision that stops the player. there is bullet collision that clears the bullets when hitting walls. there is item collision that can clear user defined bg tiles at its location. there is doors opened by pressing A -A tank that could be useful later- -An enemy- well right now he just follows you around until he dies or he kills you.. i have planned spawning enemys and have started working on this but it will take a while before this is fully up and running.. but there are possibly drones as enemys planned, but this really depends. it was an idea i or someone has posted and just though defense drones were a great idea ever since. but yeah im partly basing my code for the enemys off of Autz enemys and he helped me a lot with starting it so credit does go to him for helping me with that. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ so now i just wanna mention all the people helping as a group making this.. um if your helping or helped tell me and ill put you here. (they are in no specific order) Stewart/seggiepants (if im correct) - he greatly helped in starting development for making the bullet code, although we asked like a million question on how it worked he still stood by and answered it all. Jacob/Proku: he is one of the main programmers in this game!!! he has helped a ton with this and this game wouldnt exist without him (because a guy in YT asked about making a game and he saw it and asked me to help), theres so much more i could say about him but alas i must say... *insert meme here* Jack.ase: he is our main and only (known) sprite maker.. he is awesome and amazing at what he does and makes and we would still be using this sprite: (well we probably would have changed it by now but lol) anyways but yeah he has been great in making this and we wouldn't be far without him. Elijah: while he was only here shortly (idk why), he was the one who first started the games idea and made us start making it. he mainly gave some ideas which we completely ignored but again this wouldnt have started without him lol.. Warrior: not much to say yet because he just started helping but i cant wait to see what comes of him, he has just recently joined as a 3rd programmer. Ethan SF: he is making out title screen and some other stuff, he is a old and great friend too. idk where he is not cause i havent seen him in a while but uh ill contact him soon. anyways he is making a super cool title screen here ill get a picture: (old picture) now im just gonna crush the game testers into one big thing cause you all have the same thing. I think you over exaggerated on my part of this but I won't complain lol. Someone very important was missed out on the credits, Picy. You mentioned yourself but didn't give yourself any credit! Picy3: Helped greatly on getting this entire thing organized and having this many members on the team! He's done so much that I can't even mention all of it, but I will say some of them, the death screen, (people really like it) the main loop and all the basics such as enemy movement and doors and such, those are very few of the things he's done but they're all really cool.

Heyo so I'm kinda maybe rewriting the game and taking some bits and pieces from the original to create a much cleaner and efficient programming enviorment. This is so something's aren't unnecessarily complicated and giving the player more varibles to play with, along with easy to understand code. It's gone well so far, currently I've implemented the map loading function that can load any map with one command (huzzah for convineint code) and a function that moves all layers at once using a FOR loop. Tommorow I'll add in the player, and maybe some gun and bullet implementation, but who knows that's tommorow. And I'm not removing anything, only adding and improving. (Please don't kill me Picy & Prof.Kukuhead) Edit: And obviously really cool additions like somewhat realistic lighting, flash light, working friggin doors, night time, and customizable bunker is all stuff I plan on adding and stuff. Oh and it works like this: I add whatever somebody else adds (unless its super A+ and I just copy and paste it in), make it better and give credit or something, I'm still working how that's gonna work out. But basically I'll eventually have people add on to the rewritten one, so we don't have to tamper with the kinda buggy-ish version right now. and I really don't want to take all the credit and I started before my turn and didn't tell Picy about it, I feel kinda bad for just kind "eh-ing" your hard work, so, Even when it's done, nobody can touch it until Picy's approval. (plus the code from the beginning was pretty decent so I do credit everyone else on the Dev team.^^^) Edit2: (o wow another extension to this freaking book of a comment, hooray) o no im doing that thing where I take over someone else's project aren't I ;-;

k, im gunna see if i can make a titel screen. then i post key for you to see how you like.

That's right. Also, I have an MS-DOS font I made for scientist. The lowercase letters and numbers are incomplete but I still have the key. It's a nice serif font so I think it would go well with the theme. (Zombies, etc.) The current key is AKC3328V. I recently ordered a laptop (My PC's motherboard went nuts), so when it comes I'll be able to finish my DOS-MINI font.

In the PAINT tool, pressing Y will give you a menu saying: Which operation do you want to perform? A button: LOAD the data X button: SAVE the data Y button: LOAD the fonts B button: Back to the tool we want fonts, so press Y and SmileBASIC opens the GRP file for the default font (Or in this case, GRPF). then edit away! It will save like a normal graphics file. When you're ready to load it, here's the code for that: (YOUR_FONT should be replaced with the name of the GRP.)
LOAD "GRPF:YOUR_FONT",FALSE
That should do the trick. If it doesn't, let me know.

Wow... I missed a lot... ok so first off, @warrior, the only thing that could possibililly go wrong is having it hard to understand code because of differing coding methods, anyways but yes what we want is a nice environment to use that is easily understandable to us or others. Anyways brw thanks for fixing/updating the map thingy, I have been maining to do this but never got the time to do it... anyways though even if not done can I have the version you are working on tomorrow (i mean today lol) because I am going somewhere else agaiN lol the next day (this also means that I won't be able to take my turb again lol) anyways. Oh and also its almost 2am writing this and I'm onmy tiny horrid phine so please disregard mistakes and stuff. Don't worry about not understanding the code, there's litterally a comment explaining everything so far. As for having a useable version at the moment I can't say that's it's there, I only have the map stuff so far, Im still trying to get player mechanics In there. I was gonna do that yesterday but I got a little lazy because I had weird sleep the night before, so I get to work on that today, and make it not as buggy as before.

If I can I'll get the one with player mechanics to you when I'm done.

I mean how exactly are you changing it? In which way are you doing it? Maybe show just a little picture of your current dev code..?

lol 14 notifications! well you guys have been chatting. anyway, im just making my own stuff, playing around, cause i started basic about a month ago and am trying to learn so ima help later.

so due to the so far poll votes i will be testing with the following things: 6 votes -enemy's that shoot at you - 5 votes -more vehicles like the tank and car- 5 votes -shop- 3 votes -force field test- anyways i'm happy the enemy thingy got voted for as that was something i think will be a good challenge for me. (unless it like other previous things in which case it will still be cool) vehicles will be fun too as i had some ideas LOOKS AT JACK.ASE INTENSLY , jk but i had i think like two ideas so 1: motorcycle and 2: helicopter but if you want to do these idk dont do the heli (unless you really want to) becaue currently theres no way to really have it useful. oh and another gun idea is like a force field gun, so it was an idea me and a friend had, so basically it shoots 8 little round electronic devises that form a box so it shoots out and makes a box using the 8 balls (white dots) then they start to fomr an energy field in the area between the box the make a force field box it can be used to trap stuff or protect something. what do you guys think? Then there's the force field which I was sad to see got so few votes but that's fine cause I can still do it. Ooh and the shop which I'm really surprised got so many votes so far, I honestly thought it would only get like 1 or 2 votes lol.. um so I don't know how it could be used or what could be in it so if you guys have ideas or anything please do tell me cause I really don't know lol.. Oh and I actually did get some work done while gone like fixing lighting. Anyways but when I was gone I did some testing and I made light blocks or bulbs that were really cool and worked really well in dark mode which I just made it dark only not final one lol. They cast a light in a certain area and I also tested with a really creepy night test that had a lot of creepy sound effects It was like super creepy, especially in the dark... anyways Btw jacob did you finish or mostly finish the pause menu stuff? Anyways I'll stop adding to this now and wait for a response or something.

I could probably do heli but just some advice, the blades should probably be a different sprite. This could make it more realistic with SPROT. Probably going to get to work on a few proto motorcycles today or tomorrow.

That force field gun sounds really cool, though I'm not sure what it could actually be used for lol. I was getting about half-way done with the pause menu because lumage gave me some tips and some code to mess around with, but then warrior asked to have a turn at it which I thought we made a deal for it to be one day and then I get it back... jkjk so being me, I gave it to him to mess around with. So I may or may not test around with the lumage help because I never really got to doing that too much.
