Community Project - SBS Anime
Oh, boy. Turns out an ever-dying jocular idea is getting serious. Real serious. Hello, my name is TiP, and I lurk in the darkest regions of the site; the chat tab. Thru this forum entry, I explain the history, future, and the realistic aspect of an SBS Anime.
"Sam[21:23]o: We should make an anime based on this garbagy community"
From a strenuous two minute search, we uncover the deep and mysterious history of the ancient god-given idea. About two years ago, SBS user Sam says, "We should make an anime based on this garbagy community" most likely in response to what our archaeological experts call a "coon hoarder". He continues to communicate with his SBS peers, even going as far as proposing that all the characters of a hypothetical "sbs anime" should be female. A few days followed, confirming the true hope for a real sbs anime as Sam is defeated due to his lack of confidence in his drawing skills.
Four months later, Snail mentions the thought and their peers are hyped. Except Snail was wrong about development, and was later convicted and sentenced to semi-death for being handsome and mischievous.
A year passes. The most glorious bond forms between TiP, Lumage, maybe 12Me, and friends. They have tasked themselves with the development of what could have been the anime that changed the world. Unfortunately, hype begins to cool, and the production crew stops being productive. Lead animator, me, then locks himself away as he realizes his life sucked. The words "sbs anime" wouldn't be mentioned for the next three months until a brave little Chicken spoke and the powerful TiP came back.
So, I've been looking about making the dream of an "sbs anime" an achievable reality, and I believe we could be seeing an episode within the next two months. And amazingly, it'll all be done in chatdraw, or with chatdraw-esque limitations, such as canvas size and four-color palette. I currently have a list of plots for a pilot, which'll be decided by the community.
Go choose some. And by "some", I mean 'only three'.[poll=p340][/poll]
Speaking of "community", you've probably noticed the title and may be wondering what makes this a "community project". Well... I'm not as powerful as you may think, and I am definitely in need of some help. I am just one animator, after all. I don't expect everyone to help out, but I'll be doing my best to make this project as open as possible. I'll need voices, audio wizards, and maybe some assistant animators. I'll be drawing out key frames, where I mainly need some assistants to fill in the between frames. With your help, we could exponentially lower the completion time and raise the quality in comparison to a crummy single-dev two-month workout.
An SBS Anime is finally coming.
Heyyy this looks fun!
I'll need voices, audio wizards, and maybe some assistant animators.I really want to help out with this, I don't have a good mic, I know little to nothing on audio wizardry, And I have yet to learn how to animate; though I intend to acquire the tools for it soon depending on how well my job goes. (and life) If you mean to make the audio crisp and sound good then I don't think it's too hard using audacity and watching a video or two, this guide looked pretty helpful https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vSLq1m8RsUlP9L5PS9P5h7YJWM5U3kxeebVV1pWkE36oVYH6kVXYnnqy1TGq2vzIujP0yKX6LBa8OCA/pub I'll be pretty busy, but if there is any way that I can help, let me know.
lovely idea! i might like voicing also i love the intro to the idea hahaglare
Oh! I forgot to mention that if you have a character that is going to be animated, I kinda need to know what you'd like to be represented as, preferably something original. It bothers me to duplicate big-name things like pokemon. But, if you want to be a touhou character... whateverObviously I should be drawn as a Kirito look-alike because of how E D G Y I am
Represent me as a sentient bouncy ball with an upside-down kerbal face.
Make me a protogen! :D
Koff... gently explains he hates copying (maybe I didn't mention that I don't care how 'big' the thing is I copy)
Copying isn't fun. Legally and socially. Especially in bigger projects like this.
However, if you reeaaally want to be some other person's work, fine by me as long as I can get the original creator's info.
On a personal note, I find OCs a lot more heart-touching. They make stories feel less generic.
