SquiVoltCreated:
I started a new project, The Legend of BASIC. As the name suggests, it is based on The Legend of Zelda (1986). I need help with the dungeon layouts, though; let me know if you can help out. Anyways, feel free to ask anything about it below.

maybe i can help with the dungeon layouts

They're not randomly generated.

yes but we are suggesting that they should be or something

Procedural generation is having an algorithm automatically create something for you based on a seed. This method allows for the data to even not be saved if all you do is read it, since you can generate the data each time instead. Since the seed and algorithm can be replicated, things can be generated consistently across devices and even platforms. Example: Minecraft Java Edition's seeds generate exactly the same world as long as they are used on the same version. -AFTER EDIT- Oh crap what am I doing Anyways, you don't need this generation and I'm not sure why the other guy suggested it.

Mostly infinite unique replayability. He was asking about dungeon layouts. Create one system to create new levels.

Basically a rogue-like at its best.
