There is no latest key right now -- We've actually been rewriting the entire code from scratch because many ideas we've had for the game changed quite considerably. The main point of the game is the same but the current navigation engine we were working on, as well as the island generation, sprites, and dialog/translations have all been changing drastically and with all these changes we've decided to hold back a bit before releasing any new updates. Don't worry, the project hasn't died, we're just putting together an awesome build before releasing it.

There's not much left to go before we have the core parts set up. All I have left to do is finish the player animation and make sure the content can load properly. Once that part is finished, we just have to run it through some tests and start adding the final content: some menus, a title screen, the music, and some stuff to do, most of which we already have. Once all that's done, the alpha version will be released for everyone.
It hasn't been fully decided on with everyone else in the team, but this is the current planned content in the open alpha (first release, more will be added as the game updates, as per usual):
Only one single island will be generated for now.
Island space will consist of 4 7x7 tile "acres"
Island navigation is more or less Animal Crossing style.

Everything is one layer. This WILL change.
