Yes! We can just import SmileBasic (Petitcom) Switch without all the painful waiting!
My Japanese friends just told me that Nintendo Switch online services in Japan will no longer be free after Fall 2017 according to NoJ official website. They're required to pay membership fee à la Playstation Plus. Yes you'll have to pay to race Mario Kart Switch online and etc. It doesn't seem like it's the case outside Japan though.
I love that SmileBASIC is coming to the Wii U, but wow SmileBoom really should have just started on the Switch instead.
From what I've seen, nobody but their extreme core audience will want or even be able to buy SmileBASIC BIG. It's a darn shame, and makes me a little worried for the potential of SmileBASIC GINORMOUS in the future.

The Nintendo Switch will not have StreetPass or Miiverse.
Rest in peace, StreetPass 2011-2017.
Rest in peace, Miiverse 2012-2017.

They're great exploit vectors.

So is any software not written properly.I love that SmileBASIC is coming to the Wii U, but wow SmileBoom really should have just started on the Switch instead. A buggy game or app != a program that processes whatever arbitrary script code that you present it. The latter, an interpreter, is far more dangerous for that reason. If you've been following Smealum's twitter lately, one of the first things he lamented was that it doesn't look like switch has a browser. Or at least there's no evidence of one yet.So is any software not written properly.I love that SmileBASIC is coming to the Wii U, but wow SmileBoom really should have just started on the Switch instead. Lol, they finally gave up on including a web browser, which actually quite a few other consoles have IIRC. They COULD make it based on a DECENT web browser like Chromium, and they wouldn't have these many issues.A buggy game or app != a program that processes whatever arbitrary script code that you present it.
