How would I implement mode 7?

Trinitro21 made a mode 7 engine. It's included in the project folder of his 3D engine. http://smilebasicsource.com/page?pid=16

I know that, I had that since it was released. It's crazy slow though. That's why I want to make my own.

Hm yea, you're right. But it doesn't look right. The pitch/perspective I mean. Then again it is good, but complex.
