FreEshop is bad
Freeshop used to download games directly from Nintendo's servers, but they patched that vulnerability out a long time ago. (It's dead, and you're almost a year too late.) It also should be noted that illicit file sharing didn't die with freeshop; you can still just google for games and find them.

You can update software on 3ds regardless of legitimacy.

Yes but only if it's a game from the same region where you are BC. Other wise it won't find the update data it needs

On a completely unrelated note to SmileBASIC and the 3DS, I finally installed homebrew on the vWii of my Wii U (mostly for Wiimmfi) yesterday. Here's my review on it: The Homebrew Channel banner song is short, but very catchy The HBC is also very polished, I really like it. Had an issue with returning to the system menu one time (hung on black screen) but the issue didn't occur afterwards Hate that I have to wait a week for Wiimmfi, but whatever Also Newer SMBW is really good (yeah I'm behind) Had to also use an app by one of the Riivolution developers to fix the 4:3 issue literally changes one byte of memory how was this not patched
