I hope I'm reading this right. A way to install homebrew is now available for ANYONE with a 3DS, but there's no way to tell when it'll be patched. However once you use it, you can download an old version of Ironfall, which has an exploit in it and CANNOT be patched without you actively updating it, essentially meaning you'll have homebrew forever (as long as you remember to update the homebrew before any system update). I highly recommend this to everyone.
Just click on the web browser icon in the website linked above, and follow the instructions. After that you should be able to access the Homebrew Menu, where you should find a way to open the eShop in some mode that can download old versions... I don't actually know the details but it's a rare opportunity so you should go for it!
That's it, this was just a Public Service Announcement to inform everyone about this.

Browser exploit doesn't seem to work on new 3DS, version 10.3.0-28U. The web page just errors out and returns to home menu.
Oh never mind, you just can't use the QR code on that version, but you can still manually go to the page and use browserhax_fright exploit.
O3DS here, newest firmware. I put the homebrew starterkit and successfully launched into browserhax auto everytime I open it. However, can't seem to get menuhax working. It installs fine, but it never launches. Should I disable the padcheck so it autoboots? I can just quit homebrew launcher back into my homemenu at boot if it must be that way.
I'd install ironhax but I can't connect to the special eshop. It just sits at the loading screen and does nothing. Am I doing something wrong?
You posted your reply while I was writing this! Oops.

The web page just errors out and returns to home menu. You have to push Initialize Save Data button on the browser settings, and when you open the browser next immediately go to http://yls8.mtheall.com/3dsbrowserhax_auto.php with the URL bar. You should only have to do this process once, every time after that just opening the page has been enough to launch the exploit for me. If that hasn't worked for you, not sure :P

I think be default you have to hold L when the system is starting up to launch the homebrew launcher. You posted your reply while I was writing this! This guide is written for non-New 3DS but should be near-identical or even completely identical for New 3DS: http://corbindavenport.com/?p=403
For the record I didn't write this guide, I just saw it linked to on reddit.
i'm pretty sure its not detectable because then a lot of people would talk against it and not do homebrew. all they can do is patch your access to it from specific entry points
