For the record, all the contests here have this "must be a new project" stipulation to encourage design within constraint. Much like the theme. You have this much time, here's your theme....and... GO!If you started before the contest started, no, I'm sorry. We're more than happy to take it as a regular submission though! That's true but no contest means no prize. Well I guess I can take my time developing it again, instead of being in a time crunch.

I understand. It would have matched the theme perfect too! Maybe I'll make a new project real quick before the contest is over. For the record, all the contests here have this "must be a new project" stipulation to encourage design within constraint. Working on replayability. The levels are already procedurally generated, but I'd still like more variety in how you can play So for starters, I'm adding an optional Challenge Mode.
This lets you add up to 3 additional rules. Breaking even just one rule gets you instantly killed by the Bear. Don't bite off more than you can chew, or you'll get your body parts bitten off and chewed!

Don't bite off more than you can chew, or you'll get your body parts bitten off and chewed!Wow, even not knowing the game that sounds hard. I really dig the color scheem you have been using. I'm uncertain at this point now that I am home and able to try to work if I can get my program in order, in time... but I might upload the few pieces of what I have made. I'll work on it tonight after I finish catching up with my chores. Also please remember you don't just program to win, you program to get better at programing so you can have FUN programming. (and maybe win) So I'm fairly certain that we want to see all the submissions that we can to enjoy everyone's hard work.
Please do submit your games, even if they're not complete. You might be surprised with the outcome, and we'd love to see what everyone came up with.
Yet again. Exactly. Btw how much done is bearland? It looks pretty complete but I know looks can be decieving lol. (Just asking)Oh sure - it's technically fully playable. But it's a little soulless. So I'm jamming in as much bonus content as I can. Animations, extra features, a few Easter eggs. When the deadline comes I upload whatever I've got. This weekend I'm going to try to get a few extra game modes put together. (If I can figure out the balance, that includes modes with more than one bear at a time. No promises...)
all the break posts deleted. i was gunna add something to one, but it deleted. here:
ive got at least 1/3 of the bg collision done and sprite collision finished. i hope to finish bg collision its the most boring thing. then, i might edit sprites and bg tiles. then i can start making different modes for the game. i might post a screenshot later.
