Maybe I could do this one
So I just started to play with GLINE's and I have no idea why I ignored the "G" commands for so long. I was messing around with it, and I noticed that the Smile Button menu -> Paint -> option G0 will show the current G stuff that I have placed on screen. I have not really messed with this Paint (except in my failed attempt to make and save Game Block sprites), so If anyone wants to share what the comand to load this background graphics into the game that would be helpful. (And are there any tricks to saving just the screen area to keep file size small, since I might be making a dozen of them). The current plan is to use static backgrounds, use the buttons to pick from a few choices, have a quick trasition with SXF, between areas/ events. (A very simple point and click type adventure)
As for the Long Door opening SFX, I found a fairly simple solution. Custom BGM. Using Litterbox, I used the DOOR FX, made it a longer note, and a deeper pitch. The only music that I plan to maybe add was an ambient noise type thing. But I would probably change Music tracks when I change locations anyway, So this should work out in theory. Now all I have to do is build the game to the point of testing this, to find if this method is practical or not.
I have written out a simple flow chart of what I have in mind for the game. And in game menu is now much nicer, because of GLINE, GBOX, GCIRCLE, and GPAINT.
Random would it be possible to make the end date a bit longer like the 30th or 31st because then it would end on or right before Halloween and it would give a few extra days to make it almost a full 4 week instead of 3 which is pretty small a time for this contest.
would you be willing to do that or is just something you dont care about doing for something like that.

I don't want to do that; sorry. Most people procrastinate to the last minute anyway; the difference between 3 and 4 weeks is just how MUCH you can procrastinate lol.

Got a bear-bones prototype ready!
Working title BEARLAND is a game about not getting killed by a bear...
...in a randomly generated world where anyone, or any thing has the potential to transform into a bear and instantly kill you.
Talk to people for Hints as to where the bear is, and search objects for bear-hunting Tools. Trap the bear to win.
But if you accidentally interact with the bear, you die. Spectacularly. Be sure to grip your DS tightly!
