SUBMISSION DEADLINE: OCTOBER 27 @11:59PM EST
VOTING DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31 @MIDDAY (11:59AM) EST
HOW TO SUBMIT: Submit page to the Programming Contest category
Theme: Halloween or Horror. For those of you who needlessly question everything: yes, this means Halloween (pumpkins, skeletons, candy) AND/OR (not xor) Horror (scary or horrifying things that aren't necessarily Halloween themed). For instance, you can make a game that's JUST about trick-or-treating or you can make a game that's JUST about things that go bump in the night or you can make a game that's about both.
Existing Code: Libraries only. You can use pre-existing libraries that are publicly available (they have a key), but you can't use any other pre-existing code/projects/etc. You must program the whole thing now.
Existing Assets: Allowed. You can use any graphics or audio created at any time. Use other's assets with permission, please.
Prizes: 1st place: $40 USD, 2nd place: $20 USD
(Prize value is in US dollars and can be given in Steam credit, Nintendo eShop credit, Amazon credit, or something else that's doable. Subject to availability; participants outside the US may have limited options (usually only gifted Steam games work)).
After the submission period ends at the end of the 27th, voting will be open until midday on October 31st. You can vote for as many submissions as you like, but try to keep it down to your 3 favorites. I don't care if you vote for your own program.
Programs that AREN'T in the Programming Contest category will not be counted when the submission ends. Posting your program in this thread does not count as a submission.
Have fun!
EDIT: Submission deadline extended from the 25th to the 27th.

And I think I've ssked this before but stuff like my usual code that I use, do I gave to re write it all or can I use my starter program I use for making stuff (its basically my own personal library but its not public yet) I have been working to make it public, it just ibcludes a few starter things to start a program.

This is probably a dumb question that’s already been answered before, but how many days after someone wins is the money given to someone else? (If they don’t respond)I would imagine it would be kept or used in another contest unlees the winner comes back before or something... idk. Good question.
So looks Like I might have to go and do something B-Movie related then.
"Them!" (Giant ant movie)
"Swamp Thing" (A swamp creature)
And "The Blob!" (A Giant Slime)
Lol nice topic for a competition. Guess I have a little spare time to work on this since Game Blocks is on hold right now. Might even have to use sprites this time. Although I don't have a solid idea yet.
Lol It's a much better title then "It Came From Somewhere". (Also less dissapointing if the It is never defined. Lol) It will be a day or two before I finish building/desinging the concept I want to attempt to make. (With in my meager ablities, but also pushing my boundaries. Maybe even learn a few new things too.)So looks Like I might have to go and do something B-Movie related then. "Them!" (Giant ant movie) "Swamp Thing" (A swamp creature) And "The Blob!" (A Giant Slime)I think it's clear you need to make all three in one. Maybe.... Them Swamp Blobs!
