This is a demonstration/PoC/whatever you call it of video playback in SmileBASIC. The video is 384x240, 10 FPS and it's the Hotel Mario intro cutscene. https://youtu.be/Lo9KjUUgKWE
originalSpaghetti Simulator: HD Remix Director's Cut is the remake of the well-known game Spaghetti Simulator, which impressed many critics around the world. The HD Remix Director's Cut makes graphics way smoother*, AND expands upon the story of the original! *Notice: Owners of the original 3DS will not be able to experience smooth framerates at all times. Because of this, audio playback is disabled on older systems.

Instructions:

Note: This program is no longer available.

If you already have the April Fools version, you can simply download the Expansion Pack, copy the .PLAYVIDEO to the folder where the other files are and run it.

Download both projects "SPAGETSIM_HDDC" and "SPAGETSIM_HDEP", and copy the contents of the Expansion Pack ("SPAGETSIM_HDEP") to the base game ("SPAGETSIM_HDDC"). Run the program UNPACK. Be sure to save all the files! Run the program JOIN. This contains a portion of the video. After running both programs, run ".PLAYVIDEO". (or "SPAGETSIM_HDDC" if you want to see the intro sequence.) Be sure to not use too much ketchup!

Notes:

There are 3 "endings" in total, and two of them are locked until you complete the normal ending. Or you run ".PLAYVIDEO"
how to access the other endingsOnce completing the game, restart and type "SPAGHETTI" without the quotes, all-caps whenever in the gameplay. If you ran ".PLAYVIDEO" you don't have to do anything, just let the video play
If you ever get Out of memory errors, try typing "CLEAR" in DIRECT mode, or restart SmileBASIC.

finally?

What do you mean by the word "finally"?

the return of spaget simulator

I've been waiting, what else could I have meant?

this is the greatest sbs game ever the description is trying to prevent you from getting all three endings (if you follow the instructions on this page, you can only get the first 2 endings)

That's the point, really. You aren't supposed to get the bad ending because your copy of SmileBASIC gets forever ruined since you did a bad.

:O OH NO!!!

Stop touching the spaget will you? It's too useful.

I never knew videos like these ever existed.
ReasonI think something like this wasn't released in Europe.

They were, though? The Phillips CD-i was released in Europe in 1992. And Hotel Mario in 1994.

Fake SwanBot there :/, I would just kill them and my Swan Hotels are swan nation only. Plus I only have one hotel. 7 motels though.

IT WAS A JOKE, SWAN! but it's gonna be implemented in HOTEL SMILEBASIC (TM 2018 ToadIsTheBest & Tommy Cat Studios. with inspiration from SmileBASIC Source and Phillips) (so it's not one anymore) anyway.. We gotta save Perska!

Is there a way to play sound on the Old 3DS? I know you turned it off, I just want to turn on sound.

It would make the video even more choppy than it already is.

It wont make the video go slower, since the audio is played as BGM. Which is also why there's no sound on O3DS; it would just get instantly desynced. That said, if you want to turn it on anyway, open the video player in the editor and look for the FRAMEACT function (somewhere around line 420), and replace HARDWARE!=0 with 1.
