Begin a new OS... Begin using 3DS OS today! 3DS OS is the OS suited for today's SmileBASIC users. For suggestions and bug reports (So far, bugless!) click on the link below. http://smilebasicsource.com/forum?fpid=12810 Development has stopped until further notice. I'm working on a megaproject in UE4 with some of my nerd friends, lol. I'm also spending a lot of time on Discord. Therefore, I won't be active at SBS. Keeping the account open though. ALL COPIES OR CLONES OF 3DS OS ARE ALLOWED. Just pls attribute, k?

Instructions:

Use the + control pad to move your cursor Press A+B+X+Y+L+R to sign in. Press A to open the Begin Menu. Press X to shutdown. Press Y to logoff.

This is very good! Only things I would recommend: Maybe add a better login method (since when is holding down all the buttons convenient for anyone?), or at least make it skippable. Also, the method of typing everything in to use it is a little annoying when the rest of the OS is so good-looking. Keep at it!

Ok. There will be a major update coming with a new name and I am trying to put directional keys to move a cursor. Can you give me an idea for putting directional keys for 3DS OS? (I am just starting here, OK?)

Also, I will keep the shortcut to log in because I want it to be like "Hit Ctrl+Alt+Del to sign in". You can disable the prompt to log in (in version 1.0.1) by going to line 356 and replacing @LOGIN with @MENU1.

They can't take down a fanmade os spoof just because it has 3DS in the title. If they did, people that want dirt on nintendo would eventually find out, and blow it up.

Just downloaded 2.0.0. First impressions! New3DS Optimized prompt still there and just as useless The startup setting is hit or miss Useless long "setup" time SYSBEEP=0 Please Reboot... Button mash to log in Finally get to set password Again SYSBEEP=0 please Now for the good: Love the cursor in the start menu, much better than typing in selections! The startup/shutdown sound are amazing! Custom username! THE MEH: Shutdown is under "More" which could be used for shutdown itself.

Why did you remove the key? Is there an update coming out? This seems really cool, and it would be a shame if it were taken down. I've been using it for a while, and this really has a lot of potential. Keep up the good work, andritolion!

I think the creator of the Windows 3ds OS could have just not used the same menu selection as this, as that is just asking for drama.

You um... You can't license anything on SB... Also Creative Commons licenses are not for programs: https://creativecommons.org/faq/#can-i-apply-a-creative-commons-license-to-software Please just live with the fact that people are going to copy your shit and not give attribution. It's annoying and it sucks, but there's nothing you can do about it. If you really care this much, learn how to write homebrew and make it closed source. Or, even better, LICENSE IT. I'm going to repeat what I said, but in bold letters and underlined: YOU CAN'T APPLY SOFTWARE LICENSES TO SMILEBASIC PROGRAMS AND YOU CANNOT PREVENT PEOPLE FROM REUSING YOUR CODE WITHOUT ATTRIBUTION. Thank you for understanding, and hopefully other people will read this too.
