Smile Game Builder
SmileBoom Co., Ltd. announced at the Game Developers' Conference a new Windows software for making RPGs with no complicated programming.
The same way SmileBASIC includes prepared music and graphic assets, Smile Game Builder includes 3D assets and other materials for you: All you need to do is create your maps, define items, and balance the combat how you desire.
Smile Game Builder removes the barriers surrounding game creation that prevent aspiring creators from making their dream game. Instead of giving up, Smile Game Builder enables you to create games in an intuitive fashion with no need to worry about high-level programming, graphics, and sound. Simply using the 3D map editor to draw maps by inserting cubes, setting monster types for the area, and generating events by combining simple event commands.
Works you create with Smile Game Builder are yours to freely share, and are exported in formats playable on Windows 7 and greater.
Additional game-building resources are scheduled to be available for purchase online.

SmileBASIC
SmileBASIC is a programming environment for the Nintendo 3DS designed to be friendly and enjoyable for beginners and experienced programmers alike.
BASIC was a very popular programming language for beginners since the early days of personal computers. SmileBASIC takes this language and modernizes it to be even easier and simpler than other modern programming languages. SmileBASIC inherits key concepts from BASIC and evolves it for Nintendo's portable platform. Everyone from professional game developers to complete beginners have used SmileBASIC to create great games.
SmileBASIC allows you to utilize the power of your 3DS in your programs. That means stereoscopic 3D without any complicated mathematics, and access to the built-in accelerometer, gyroscopic sensor, and microphone data.
The most consuming part of creating a game is making graphics and sound. Thankfully, SmileBASIC includes a rich set of materials already prepared for you. These built-in materials are free for use in your program, including over 2000 sprites and tiles and over 100 professionally made sound effects and background music. All it takes is one instruction to play a song in your program.
SmileBASIC has a variety of helpful features for beginners. There is a built-in instruction manual that explains topics from the software keyboard to fundamentals of programming with BASIC. You can access it any time just by hitting the "Home" button. While programming, you have access to the context-sensitive help by hitting the "Help" button on the touch keyboard. A full language reference is also available online.
SmileBASIC will be available in Japanese, English, and major European languages, with no compatibility inconsistencies between these versions. The cloud backend is also universal, so as long as you can program, anyone around the world can use what you make!
