SmileBASIC File Manager

Root / General / [.]

triangleCreated:
After update 7, trying to inject a file with Y errors with the text "Error: [string "?"]:207: Wrong number of arguments". (same happens with the X button. And the shop.) I guess I'll inject my files with extdata_dump for now?
Okay, I see the problem and it's a careless mistake. Fix is out now

I made a homebrew application that lets you copy your SmileBASIC programs to and from your SD card to allow for easy dumping, editing, and importing. It can be downloaded here: https://github.com/Trinitro21/lpp-3ds/releases/tag/sbfm1.2 If you don't have homebrew and want to use this, I made a short guide here: www.googledrive.com/host/0B4kbPEFlGXXIQ2dNTWtROTNIczQ I made a tutorial for anyone confused on how to use this which should hopefully clear up any confusion: http://www.smilebasicsource.com/page?pid=308 Currently it can't create new SmileBASIC files. It can only overwrite existing ones. UPDATE 1: It can create new SmileBASIC files now. UPDATE 2: Now it can dump and restore entire folders. Also if you press X it will tell you the contents of the header of a SB file. UPDATE 3: There's now an option to only copy the code; the header and footer will be ignored when going from SB to SD, and when copying to SB, a default header and footer will be injected. UPDATE 4: GRP and DAT files should work properly now, and a CIA build is included for fellow CFW users. If using the CIA version, put index.lua at the root of your SD card, and be aware that closing it yields an infinite closing dialog unless you press start. UPDATE 5: Copying GRP files to SmileBASIC using the "code only" option should fully work now. It now puts a T at the start of the file name when copying if the file doesn't start with a T or a B, in order to hopefully reduce potential damage caused by recklessly copying files that shouldn't be in SB. UPDATE 6: Further improvements to overall stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience. UPDATE 7: Releases are now on github: https://github.com/Trinitro21/lpp-3ds/releases/tag/sbfm1.2
Hey can i use this on my homebrew exploit im making? Ill give you full credit

You NEED a homebrew exploit, and sorry to break it to you buddy but SmileBASIC was meant to pretty much give homebrewers what they wanted. Whenever you "homebrew" your 3DS, you aren't homebrewing it, you're softmodding it. Homebrew is basically software made by hobbiests, you need to exploit/softmod the Nintendo the 3DS to use the software(or use SmileBASIC, that's a thing). Second of all, exploits don't have "extra" bonuses like built in software, the homebrewed software is detected on the user's SD card and appears in the Homebrew launcher. We can crash SmileBASIC, but I highly doubt we can exploit it.

QR Code for FBI pls

Okay, can you change the id of the CIA build, it seems to be interfering with another application. The other application has an id of CTR-P-ETKU. I'm not sure if this is the problem, but a heads up

Done! The new version can be found at https://github.com/Trinitro21/lpp-3ds/releases.

This never came, but you should put this on the front page QR code for FBI

Back! :D I forgotten about this site for more than a year! D: But i added this to the website http://titledb.com/. If you have FBI, launch it and go to the TitleDB option. You will then see a whole bunch of homebrew apps you can get. Go down to the S section and you will see "SmileBASIC File Manager", click on that and click install. Once done go back into homemenu and wait a bit. Then it should be there! :D

Could you add a way to create folders?

Would someone with access to this tool be willing to do me a huge favour and transfer the project files for SOLID GUNNER (source and assets) to their PC and upload the files somewhere? I'd like to begin work on a project using the game as a template but I currently don't own a 3DS, I had arranged to borrow one from a friend for a couple months but was recently informed it had become lost/stolen :(

Could you make a resource page instead of a thread, so people can actually find it when searching for "SBFM"?

+1

I'm sorry I didn't find out about this sooner. Unfortunately my 2DS is on 11.4 and I can't use any homebrew exploits.
If you don't have homebrew and want to use this, I made a short guide here: www.googledrive.com/host/0B4kbPEFlGXXIQ2dNTWtROTNIczQ
The link is borked. Was that old news or is there something I can use besides PetitModem?

Sorry, google drive hosting doesn't work anymore and I didn't bother to change it. Updated the main post.

Please make a resource page for this

Why would I use this when I could put the SD Card in my PC

Because SmileBASIC doesn't look through the SD card for files, everything is in the extdata of SmileBASIC (which you can't normally access), so this file manager was made to let you copy files there so they can be used.
