Good morning! I stayed up rather late last night so I'll be slow on replying, but no, we don't need to add places manually. I haven't changed Easter island's loop names because it can be a default island with no randomisation, but we can probably use a single loop for the towns that aren't Mermal or Easter.
This would work by simply saying where you want to go, and you're given a list of numbers assigned to each island tile so you can return if you like the layout. What you've done on the island can be saved by saving the island's name and matching it with the island's code.
I was thinking of adding an option to colour your plane and I have an idea on how that would work, so I'll add it and you can see it in the next update I send you.
Okay I also thought of some ideas for you so you can add them to the Options Menu. For options we should have Music Volume so we can change the volume rather than only be able to mute it :D These are a couple optional ideas if you're interested.
- Options for the player/character
- Menu Layout/background Options
- Credits :D
I considered that, but I don't know how to change the BGMplay.
Are we going to be seeing the player character sprite? I also considered a passport thing but I'm not sure how that would work.
Definitely. I'll add it later.
I'm working on some sprites at the moment. I had a whole new set of corner sand sprites but I think I forgot to save it in my sleepy daze. Pretty annoyed so I'm going to get to work on it...
Okay! :D I like the passport idea but I'm not sure how that will work either haha :D
Seeing the player sprite would be nice too!
I considered that, but I don't know how to change the BGMplay. There's a command for that: BGMVOL [Track number,] Volume Track number isn't useful for us--as far as I know, we never set any track number for BGMPLAY. Volume can be stored in a variable and passed along, like this:
VAR VOLUME = 27 BGMVOL VOLUME...Of course, we'd be storing a dynamic number for volume. Also, track number can be between 0-7 (default is 0), and volume level can be between 0-127
Hey Reset I was thinking something. The main title screen looks amazing and I want the rest of the game to (Hopefully) Be the same. I didn't think so many people would want the game so I'm getting more excited and more motivated! :D For the traveling menu, do you want to make some improvements to it and make it look really good? It's up to you I don't want to push you too hard haha :D

This is probably my quickest response (Within first 15 seconds lol) Awesome!
Hey Reset! Is there anything you want me to work on at the moment? I can help you with some things if you need any help. I might not be as helpful but I can try hahahahaha :D
I wanted to know if this was a good idea with you. We make the menu on the title screen use sprites instead of text so we can touch the touch screen buttons which might save us some code. It would give us a cool looking menu as well :D
Quick Question: Do you have the newest version of SW I gave you with the new theme and cleaner code? :)

I don't have anything in mind at the moment, but since you seem to enjoy making MML, what do you think about writing music for different environments? (beach and town, desert, forest, and snow for example.)

I can use an actual BGmap since it doesn't need to be randomised (probably have a few title screens which can be randomly selected when the game is launched, like Animal Crossing.) Yes, I'm using it right now. Haven't made any modifications to the code if I remember correctly (I forget everything), just the sprites.
68 notifications from one post... was I gone that long..?Nah, we're just hyped!
By the way, here's the most recent version. It has "1" in the name because I had to rename it so I could download it.

Going to add the coloured planes since that's all I'll have time for, at least until I finish the homework.
Sorry for the late responses guys haha I will check out the newest version! :D
This is the last day of my Spring Break so I will go back to school tomorrow. I will only be able to work from whenever I get home to 9:00 PM or sometimes 10:00 PM depending on the circumstances and a little in the morning depending on when I wake up but we get a lot of free time in my school so I'm not really worried.
but this is very good because im seeing a bunch of really cool games being made, hopefully they will all be as awesome as they lookHey Picy3, How have you been?!! We are constantly coming up with ideas to make this game a great experience! Hope to see you lots throughout our thread! :D
