Here is my first YouTube video. It is a bit crappy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCfnIKNDyDk

SmileBASIC allows you to program in a dialect of BASIC, SmileBASIC is not a language.
The language you use in SmileBASIC is called SmileBASIC. It has been called that since Petit Computer. That's like saying QBASIC is not a language, just a dialect of BASIC. That's like saying C++ is not a language, just a dialect of C. There may be an "original" BASIC, but that doesn't mean there can't be children languages. EDIT: Very big and wonky photo to provide evidence for the inevitable doubters.

Well, originality isn't exactly important.

-snip- a dialect is a dialect, you can't say it's only a language.
well TJ "Shelly" yoshi hear me out a dialect is a kind of language. (i think) Real quote:
Well, originality isn't exactly important.
Well a dialect is a dialect, and not a language.

SmileBASIC is a language. In the same way one might install new graphics cards in a PC, it's still a PC. A dialect of a language takes the language and tailors it to a specific need, where say, Dartmouth BASIC couldn't feasibly do what SmileBASIC can.

Is there a command that can take either array or number and not give an error?
