INPUTing the wrong number of values

If you enter more values in INPUT than there are variables, it ignores the extra values. However, if you enter fewer values, it asks you to ?Redo from start.

So when a user encounters ? Redo from start, a consistent solution to resolving it is just to add a great number of ,0s to the end?
