I have a corrupted SmileBASIC save file.

This evening, I picked up my 3DS and went to save what I had left open. SmileBASIC told me the save had failed, so I restarted the app after attempting to save a few more times. Now, I can only get a prompt telling me that I need to initialize my save file, as it is corrupted. I'm not sure if this part matters, but the program I was typing up was the 3.3.1 ver. homebrew installer. I was able to save it before. My big question is this: can the SB file manager help me extract my personal projects that aren't anywhere else? Even if it could, I couldn't use SB as an entry point, but I'd be fine with waiting as long as necessary if my stuff can be saved.

It's probably worth an attempt.

I think I know how it got corrupted, but didn't mention it before. For a long time now, my SD card slot has been stuck pushing out SD cards instead of clicking them in. I bought a Circle Pad Pro recently to hold the SD cards in, but even that is unreliable occassionally. Maybe during the first save attempt, my SD card got jiggled...

I'd like to close the case. Thanks to the new browserhax, I have determined that all is lost. I have the contest version of my Bomberman clone in the cloud still, so I guess I can start from there.

Yeah it's important to keep your bigger projects in the Cloud so that if anything catastrophic happens you don't need to worry about it. I'm sorry about the rest of your stuff though.

All of those silly 12Me21 projects... ;-;

An interesting side effect I noticed after initializing my save file... The active project folder was still BASICSPLOIT, failed when saving, and immediately changed to DEFAULT when I went into the "Manage Project/Files" menu. Ver 3.3.1.
