I'm curious about the copyright rules, as I'm trying to make a game, and I want some info whether or not I would be safe doing these things:
A: Hollow Knight port
Hollow knight ain't on 3ds and I wanna change that, but I'm pretty sure I'm crossing the line.
B: A port of spelunky classic
Spelunky classic is free, and I think this should be fine, but I'm not sure
C: A meat boy CLONE
Let's say I make a meat boy clone,, but physics, level design, and graphics are different, but still at the heart of the experience(hard levels but unique twists, similar physics but different), and my character is orange, and looks more like that thing from jumper(A square with two tiny legs, two eyes, no arms)
I think I'm safe here, but still would like to be reassured
Thanks in advance!

Ok, thanks! How do I lock a post?I think Yttria could do that, but I don't know how either. By the way, Tarudahat, some others, and I are currently working on the Bomberman 3DS title, known as Super Bomber Blast. Have you downloaded it yet? If not, here's the link: http://smilebasicsource.com/page?pid=1302
If you really want to use the original characters, you can make the game with them, and then upload it separate from SmileBoom’s servers via PetitModem to your PC and then a file hosting service like Google Drive. Just be sure to make the folder you put your game files in public with a link.
