Wait, what does PCMSTREAM do?

Wait, what does PCMSTREAM do?
Audio DLC pack Stream mono or stereo PCM audio of any length up to 192kHz sample rate

Oh wow... I didnt realize that, I thought it all had to do with simply analyzing audio. I might have to purchase the DLC now!

do you guys think we will ever get the ip or do you think that it will just be a japan feature? and what is a clipboard? Lastly what the heck is the millisec thing for?(sorry i am still new to programing lol)

No chance, according to stuff on what I have heard.
and what is a clipboard?
Clipboard: when you copy, the thing you copy is set to the clipboard. You can now set it or get it with CLIPBOARD. TL;DR: sets what you will paste when using the paste button.
Lastly what the heck is the millisec think for?
This gives the milliseconds that have passed since SB launch. Similar to MAINCNT, but instead of frames (1/60th of a second), it gives milliseconds.

Ooohh *thinks about how he can invade the clipboard command to pass common variables between DEFY Library commands* About GOFS, honestly I kinda feel like they just made it easier while I knew how to deal with it, like when I want to walk somewhere but halfway there, my dad drives, picks me up, and drives me the rest of the way anyway, lol. *clears throat* Okay, seriously, though. I'm most glad for the BG tile sizes being allowed to be 8x8px. That means I can use the BG for text like I could in Petit Computer. That's what I want for a document viewer.

Ugh! I'm disgusted that this is out in NA. All the known bugs (like you can no longer edit colors, unable to switch GRPs in SPGED...) in this version ARE NOT FIXED at all, despite the fact that notohoho promised a bugfix version in Japan. Why couldn't they just WAIT until they fix all the bugs?

Well if you want it to WAIT in the scale of days, remember to use WAIT 60*60*60*24*Days.

I'm sorry, that joke was inexcusable.

What do you mean, no longer edit colors or switch GRPs? Does the update break the Smile Tool or something? Or do you mean these are just bugs that already existed and still do?

I think that they just existed and still do. At least, I assume/hope (after testing a little bit).

New bug, you can't change syntax highlighting colors. I don't know what he means by switch GRP though.

3 problems with 3.3: 1: DLC shop is broken (will be fixed tomorrow apparently) 2: my gold membership is broken :( 3: CHR$(13) is still converted to CHR$(10)
And we don't even have access to all the commands yet! Now people are saying there are even MORE bugs!??!?!

By "edit colors" I meant syntax highlighting colors. We're stuck with what we set in 3.2.1 as a bug prevents the color sliders from working. By "switching" I meant we no longer can copy stuff between GRPs in SBGED in the SYS folder, something we could in 3.2.1. SBSMILE in the SYS folder accidentally had a version downgrade from 1.2 to 1.0.3 (clearly unintentional but somehow went unchecked) There are some other bugs found by the Japanese community. https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYIHAAAEAACHVRTzE_6Ivg I also got a twitter reply from Notohoho last night stating they decided to go ahead with the release because they weighed the importance of releasing on time (in April) and the bugs and determined that the former is more important. They are working on the bugfixes as we speak so please understand.

I totally agree that releasing on time was of higher priority, but only for these two reasons:
  • All localities should be on the same version before development should continue.
  • They already stated it would be April, and not fulfilling their promise would be a lie :P
Had they not released it in Japan and promised April beforehand, I wouldn't take it in this state probably. I also don't agree with how they deal with releases in Japan. It seems to me that they use the Japanese releases as a testing phase to find all the bugs. Unless it's explicitly stated or an opt-in, this should not be the standard practice. They should go through internal QA testings after the version is completely built instead of releasing right away. If they want to let the public test, they should make it an option. Maybe this way we wouldn't need a bugfix for every version.

Well, I haven't updated yet and see no reason to update.

I found two other bugs:
  • The "Sort by date" button makes a sound EVERY time you change folder or open the load dialog.
  • The start/select button can't be used in programs anymore…

For NIntendo distribution systems cite~?

Tested the CHR$(13) problem, the CHR$(13) does get saved, but if you load it into a program slot, it will be changed to CHR$(10). You CAN load it into a string and it will remain a CHR$(13), however!

The start/select button can't be used in programs anymore…
not sure if joking or just
