SQL, HTML, and CSS are not programming languages, but those too since people seem to be listing them. I mainly code in C when writing software for the computer.
Yo, I've got a few graphing calculators based on the Z80 (a ti-85, 86, and 83+) I am already fluent in TI-Basic, and I am interested in developing in asm for these, do you know of any resources I could use?

Do you mean you're experienced in Scratch or SmileBASIC or have experienced Scratch and SmileBASIC? If so, I recommend checking out another programming language like Python.

  • #120 ✎ 457 HTV04 Intermediate Programmer I can make programs, but I still have trouble here and there. Programming Strength Avatar Taboo I didn't change my avatar for 180 days Website Second Year My account is over 2 years old Website I deleted my old post because I wanted to be completely honest on this thread this time. Age: 15 Future plans: I really want to get into computer science. It's a subject I really like and would like to work more with. Languages (ranked from to most favorite to least favorite): Python 3: I have loads of history with this language. It's one of my favorites. However, I still have minor issues with it, but I can definitely make an intermediate program with it. SmileBASIC 3: I also have loads of history with this language. I remember joining this site when I first got SmileBASIC. I joined this site 3-4 years ago, I think. That's when I started out with SmileBASIC, and I've really liked it ever since. It's not my most favorite language, because, well, it's restricted to a 3DS with extremely limited capabilities. That's why I prefer Python, it has a wider environment for me to experience, while having a lot of similarities with SmileBASIC. Scratch: Okay, okay, I know this isn't a REAL language, but man, let me tell you I had a LOT of good memories with this language. It's how I first learned about programming. As I used this language more and more, I started to get better at it, and in turn get better in languages such as Python and SmileBASIC. The simple scripts Scratch had to offer helped me translate them into different languages. To this day, I still use Scratch sometimes. It's fun to try to code complicated things in such a simple language. You sometimes have to jump through hoops in order to replicate functionality that's in almost ANY other language though. JavaScript: Recently started using this language. Let me tell you, it's a PAIN IN THE ASS to work with. Randomous, I don't know how you did it, but huge props to you for making the framework for this site (assuming you used a lot of JavaScript). JQuery is a godsend for JavaScript programmers. Seriously, why isn't JQuery built in again? It makes no sense for things like clickable events to be so complicated. QBASIC/QuickBASIC: I really only tried to learn this language for fun. It obviously has a lot of similarities with SmileBASIC, but it's severely limited, because after all, it's a DOS program. If I'm not mistaken, SmileBASIC took a lot of inspiration from QBASIC and other popular BASIC interpretations. QB64 is by far the best interpretation of QBASIC/QuickBASIC because of its expanded capabilities, but the one I have the most experience with is the original DOS version. Posted Edited by HTV04
