The first copyright takedown was the mario world 1-1 bgm All super mario [maker] clones have been taken down if published

That makes sense; Mario maker is a new(ish) game and they wouldn't want Nintendo complaining. They wouldn't want us 3DS users to have Mario maker, now would they. lol Anyway, I wonder If someone could make a code encryption/decryption program, and publish the encrypted version of the code for things that would normally get taken down.

Why do we want to break/circumvent the rules?
to let out the true potential of smilebasic or to have some cool games for free-ish

that's already what we have Why would you rather have half-assed Mario clones than stuff like Sp00ky Maze?

Programming Strength Deep Sleep Hidden Website I know. Let's please just follow their rules. People need to just be more creative, I would love to see what kind of original content people could come up with. More importantly though, if this kind of stuff becomes common enough, we may end up being restricted even more, which no one wants. And I mean, if you want Mario Maker, just make, I dunno, Maxwell Maker or something. It's not hard to make uncopyrighted clones of games. Posted

Which are clearly violations of the public key agreement that can be viewed whenever you hit publish. Confirm agreement to the terms of publication Inappropriate content will be deleted without notice. mmm this is changing my mind about this whole thing. i love the games that could already be made without violations of the conduct, like spooky maze or bub.

I was wondering why anyone would want to circumvent the rules for things that would normally get taken down, when we could just make uninfringed adaptations that WON'T get taken down. Someone should get to work on compressors and crypyto software. The number of positive uses outweighs the negative. And even if we're using it for the negative sense, R&D is important for the community and platform to evolve.

Express Yourself Well, the game I had done "Friendly Pellet Rain or something" use content from undertale like the ost "megalovania", "your best friend" and play flowey laugh at some moment. It's been up since 12/12/2015. I made this game to learn how to implement a module that abstracts the creation of patterns for the bullet's attack. They take down the game when I released it because it was named "Bullet Hell".

A port of 7zip could be useful. The only problem I see is that it will be annoying(but not impossible) to translate data structure from c++ to smilebasic since it doesn't have any.

Express Yourself How about using GRP's to store data similar to QR codes? Something similar to Petit Modem, but instead of turning a program into sound, it can turn them into GRP's. Then, another user can use a similar program to do the reverse. With this system, copyrighted content can be shared over the main SmileBASIC server. This only really works with standalone programs using default stuff, though... Posted

Express Yourself A code compressor would be interesting to make Maybe it could take keywords ( PRINT, WHILE, etc) and turn them into a single character.

It wouldn't be pirating, since you would have to make your own version of the game, not steal the code of the original. (you might as well just use your own sprites, because why not?) EDIT: also, Mario maker is just a copy of SMBX anyway, so making a clone of it in SmileBasic, encrypting the code, and publishing it wouldn't be bad in my opinion.

The piracy is when you distribute it and now other people have access to a software without paying the developers.
