Where's the key?

It doesn't exist yet. Because the thread name changed and I found inconsistencies on the first post, I changed them. Even if, it's located on the Sakakibar UI page now

...not be able to get it ready for a release to everyone in ~1 month cuz school. I do use GitHub as a backup and a little bit of an overview of the code. (The new launcher and most of the changes are already there)
yeah school sux. you didnt tell me that you use GitHub and the new launcher? i wasnt working on it for months now.
Agree. I just learn math garbage there, too.

ā†“ The new launcher will have custom themes after the release of the next 2 updates. (The format and the DEF are already present)

cool

Can't wait!

When IĀ“m finally done with the update, that custom theme is provided and the menu has a comment you can uncomment to load the theme. I still have to make a good tool to make it as that theme is using ~15% of the customization I offer for this format. The themes that apply to the windows on the desktop are coming soon.

Not trying to be rude, but could you provide a public key for the latest update?

I've just uploaded the new V0.3.5! Key's located on ć‚µć‚«ć‚ćƒćƒ©UI's page

I think Launcher Menu Settings should resemble DSi Menu Settings, as the Launcher Menu resembles the DSi Menu.

Maybe you should make a proof-of-concept so it would be easier to implement.

And also, I just love how attempting to boot up the kernel gives an error. I think the error happened around line 428. It was a Subscript out of range error. The error occurs right when the boot screen appears. EDIT: The error actually happens at 0:451.

SB didn't copy the code correctly. With the SYS.CONF file, it works fine but without it, the IF only runs on one line. And the dev tools aren't working either without it... Damn. Okay, I'll fix it and re-release this.

I found a solution, copy (or create) an old/fake SYS.CONF, boot up the UI, and press A + B + X + Y to delete it. The UI should boot up perfectly after deleting SYS.CONF. Found another bug. The UI thinks the theme color is invalid even if the SYS.CONF is from this version.

I was about to write that.
Found another bug. The UI thinks the theme color is invalid even if the SYS.CONF is from this version.
This only occures when saving the SYS.CONF without changing the theme color. Didn't you see the blue line overflowing when changing the color? If one of the colors overflow, it won't work. (It's to prevent pure white from happening.) Yes, another bug caused by not looking after the code properly.

How do you make icons for .SMD files?

How do you make icons for .SMD files?
How do you even make .SMD files? I tried the maker and when it asks if short description, long description, and creaator (yes it was spelled like that) were correct, and then froze. It doesn't matter if I press x, y, b, a, up, down, left, right, left trigger 1, right trigger 1, left trigger 2, right trigger 2, or the two circle pads (on new 3DS). I want to know

I don't know maybe it will work now that I re-downloaded it.

The tool isn't that intuitive and dev-specific ATM. You draw the 2 icons on GRP1 using SB's own GRP tool or Th.'s GRP editor. When opening the creator it gives the coordinates on GRP0 after pressing the Y key on the bottom screen keyboard. (Yeah, I've marked it with (Dev) in the setup for a reason. If you don't have any, choose some pre-made SMDs in "SKKBA menu icons". Oh, about the freeze. You had to press the Y or N key on the keyboard and I'll change it too. I'm currently making a GUI version of it that has a GRP tool built-in for easier use. EDIT 1: My phrasing is horrible... :/ EDIT 2: The SMD format allows the translation of the short and long descs for 16 languages, but I've only got 4 languages. Should I follow the language specs of the 3DS's SMDH format or use the rest as more room for settings and variables that are used by the ć‚µć‚«ć‚ćƒćƒ©UI menu? EDIT 3: Made link for better understanding

EDIT: Made more clear that these bugs are still in the current public beta build. BUGREPORT (well I have to keep this somewhere tho) The ć‚µć‚«ć‚ćƒćƒ©UI menu stops working when saving the cache data without any SMD files and then attempting to start it once more. Workaround: Delete the LAUNCHER.DAT file and if you still don't have SMD files in the folder, abort the save of the cache. You may also open the SETUP to unpack the menu settings' icon as it is marked in the setup as an important component. When starting the setup, after you choose the 2nd option, just press (Y) as it has flagged the icon already for you. Fixed in newer version by refusing to start the menu without any SMDs. When saving SYS.CONF from a fresh install without changing the theme color, the launcher and/or the desktop says it is invalid. Workaround: Change at least the blue color so it isn't overflowing (the number next to it is less or equal to 29.) Fixed in newer version by changing the default theme color. Sidenote to it: Now the menu warns you that the settings can't be used for the desktop and delete it there. (It's not really a bug) The icon to launch ć‚µć‚«ć‚ćƒćƒ©UI is a gray ļ¼Ÿ even though there seems to be an icon for it in the menu's graphics. What will I do: I'll assign the icon's graphic properly to that. ...done. (It's not really a bug) Both unremovable icons spit out the same message but the German version gives a hint on the first one. It's basically a copy-paste error. What will I do: I'll edit the text so it translates well between these languages....done. If I use another language (like Welsh or Russian) sometimes I get weird text or error dialog boxes. What will I do: When there's no text available, it will use the English text instead. ...done. The ć‚µć‚«ć‚ćƒćƒ©UI menu may behave weird when files with specific names are found in the project. Fixed in newer version by rewriting the code handling these files. All the above bugs are still present on the current build but the next update, addressing these bugs, is coming in a few days (if school isn't doing a scummy move). ć€€ćƒ¼ćƒ¼ćƒ¼ćƒ¼ćƒ¼ćƒ¼ćƒ¼ćƒ¼ćƒ¼ćƒ¼ćƒ¼ćƒ¼ć€€ I've appended a spoiler containing the rules for making a bugreport on the first post of this thread. Read that first if you haven't before making one.
