hakkeCreated:
Unofficial Christmas OSP Contest ? Starts the 16th of December and ends the 25th of December (23:59 GMT). Voting will be held from the 1st of January up to the 7th of the same month. After the deadline concludes, I'll release a key containing all the entries for accessibility and the ease of voting. Rules: - Entry must be created during the period. - Only one entry per user. - Entries are not allowed to depend on previously created files (creating your own files is OK) That.

maybe 'osp contest before sb4 release in north america' is good.

That does make me feel like contributing now. However, a month is wayyyyy too long a submission period for an OSP. Iโ€™d say a week tops. Also maybe start the contest sooner than three weeks after announcing it.

nurse, administer the osp contest intravenously

Starts Jan 1? That's a month from now.

what would be a good start period? edit: probably after christmas' eve ?

Start it whenever Christmas break starts for most people. Thatโ€™d make it more convenient for everyone and bring in more submissions (if any lol). So probably next Monday..? Then give it a week or so and end it on Christmas Eve at midnight. Just a suggestion though.

Entries are not allowed to depend on previously created files (creating your own files is OK)
Can my OSP be
EXEC 1
That seems too easy. Or maybe I don't understand properly

Your entry MUST be one (1) text file containing the OSP code, it can't include other files/sprites/DAT/etc. However, the OSP is allowed to create files from scratch. (SAVE) and use them, but every OSP submitted will go through a meticulous analysis to check if it is compliant to the rules. More rules! - Your OSP can't decompress a non-OSP program and execute it. (i.e. OSP platformer written by Nathaniel in last OSP contest). However, it may decompress a OSP-compliant program and run it, but that's useless. - As stated above, supply a key to only one (1) text file containing your OSP. If someone accidentally publishes a project I'll notify them. If there's any entry that is a project at the deadline it will be considered disqualified. - Please, name your files following a format of <username>_<name> Not doing so will not result on any punishment or so, but the file will be renamed accordingly for the collection and voting. - As stated again below, entries will go through analysis (by me :3) after published to check if they follow the rules.
Spoiler(changed the deadline-voting period to allow me to do this more calmly)

we already have a very strong osp ruleset; the type-in screenshot requirement defeats a large amount of data compression tricks
