https://twitter.com/PetitComputer/status/752430852332720128 round of applause for the wonderful gabbatimp team Admins, please alert/announce this thread, put a banner, something. If Google Translate is doing me any good, there's an update already finished and in review. If it passes, I guess we're getting another X.Y.2 patch. I'm glad SmileBoom allows us to contribute to software bug fixing and all but I would prefer it not be like this.

Still up for US as of this post. It's gone from Japan eshop; I suppose that's what the tweet is about. The 'overseas' was a reference to the hacking origin I think. Get it now, anybody-on-the-fence. It could be taken down here any minute.

Nice. "About the unavailability of Petit Computer 3 SmileBASIC Delivery from the Nintendo eShop is suspended at present because an overseas program in Petit Computer 3 SmileBASIC has been confirmed to access the 3DS System [illegally]. The cause is known and the updated version which will fix this is already being prepared, so as soon as necessary fixes are finished, delivery will resume." I won't bother with the rest because it's just an apology and standard please continue to enjoy our product. Edit2: from last week: http://i.imgur.com/B2SiEcQ.png Edit: It passed my mind that US takedown is dependent on the NoA people being up here. I'd say you have about an hour.

Another satisfying victory for the homebrew scene! :v http://smilebasic.com/en/whatsnew/

:)

Why would you even exploit SB? Anyone who wants piracy has it, and SB is basically homebrew soooo whats the point?

It's kinda like the difference between a bicycle and car. Both have the same base function except the latter is a lot faster and can go farther. FYI: I'm for homebrew, not for piracy.

Smilebasic set to return to the JPN eshop on July 27th, Japan time. https://twitter.com/PetitComputer/status/756401950510444544 No word on the US (or EUR :p) version at this time.

https://twitter.com/PetitComputer/status/758113197861765121 Smilebasic has returned to the JPN eshop at this time, bringing the version up to 3.3.2.

This is off-topic, but they also added a page about distribution policy. I can't really tell, but it seems to be saying that no, you can't enforce control over any materials you distribute via public key, anything you distribute is copyleft by nature and they don't want to go chasing down uses that the creator doesn't like. http://smilebasic.com/library/pubkeypolicy/

NA version updated to 3.3.2. Vuln patched, software is available again. https://twitter.com/smilebasic_com/status/763203571642798080

Awesome! Thanks for the news!

UPDATE: It's still not up for me... or something. Has it worked for anybody? I get a "software not available".

It's up for me. It shows "To Update Screen" on the app's page on the eshop. I would assume that with the next 3ds firm update, you will be forced to update the app to boot it. This was how ironfall etc. was handled.

Oh alright, I see. The official update instructions don't work because I guess the update wasn't published properly. I had to specifically look up SmileBASIC and hit Update from the software page; the QR or the Updates page didn't work.

I get an error code when I try to download the update through the qr code.... but searching SmileBASIC and hitting go to update works just fine! :D

its back
