It's been a while, but I've finally got started on a two-player fight game that can be played two-player on only one 3DS/2DS. Of course, it is far from finished (those chunky guys don't even move yet...), but I've finally got button controls and collision boxes working very well. If I ever make more progress on it, I'll post it here (hopefully with some screenshots).

Well, nothing ever goes as smoothly as I think it will. I built a battle platform in the built-in BG editor, but I can't even figure out how to load it into the program! What's the point of an editor that's so easy to use if there's no simple, obvious way to load the file?? Plus, I looked it up and it looks like checking for collisions between BG tiles and sprites isn't simple either! For now, I'm just using a stretched sprite (doesn't look great) for the platform, and now I need to get characters to land on the platform and not bounce or get stuck in it. That I think I can handle. Any advice on BG handling?
Some things are starting to come together, but I still can't use BG. I might have a basic, semi-playable game up here sometime, though.
Things are happening! Fighters can walk, duck and block, next I'll try to get them jumping, and after that, I'll get them punching each other! Sorry there are no screenshots yet, posting those isn't exactly convenient. If this goes far enough, though, then I'll be sure to put screenshots here.
(To be honest, I really don't know if anyone is reading this...)
