Can I be allowed to contribute? I could make gfx for app.
Sure! If you have a GitHub account, you can file a pull request and upload your graphics in /assets/gfx. If you don't, then send them to me via DM or make a GitHub account.
https://github.com/robot-dev-ctr/SB-DB-Black_Theme.git
Why did you make that as a separate repo instead of a fork? Lol Also, do you have a Discord? I could whip up a group chat for this real quick.
It wasn't letting me make a pull request, and Discord doesn't work on my computer.king of l EDIT:This might be offtopic, I'm thinking of learning C or C++. Which is easier?
C++ is an extension of C iirc, but I would learn C++ Also, what computer do you have?

I have a 32-bit Dell Laptop with Linux Mint 19.3 Cinnamon. Also,C++ is easier, so im going with it.

I made a bug report on github about it crashing when it fails to dump DSP firm, I've tried using numerous dsp dumpers but they fail, so I built DSP1 by zoogie as a 3dsx. https://github.com/robot-dev-ctr/DSP1-userland/releases/tag/1.5

DSP1 as a CIA shouldn't fail? What do you mean? Also what does DSP dumping have to do with this? One of the first steps after installing CFW is to dump the DSP firm using DSP1.

I had an embedded DSP dumper and it failed on him, so I removed that and fixed the crashes caused by not having the firm. Currently, GitHub still has the old code but I fixed it locally and will release the update when I got the download menu to work. I have the issue though, that the app is stuck when downloading things. To compensate and make things nicer, I created a thread function that will tell the user after 40secs that they should restart their 3DS, since the app can't proceed for unknown reasons.
App ideaCould I change the GUI etc. to be a thread and the main loop controls them? Though I think it wastes CPU and GPU processing time but it'd be interesting.

After I figured out the DSP issue and it works well, I still need to try 0.0.2

The DSP code is the same and may still not work for you. The only thing working in v0.0.2 is the update mechanic which is useless since it doesn't find newer CIA and 3DSX, since they don't exist yet.

I just need to copy my dsp into SBDownloadStation/dumps directory and it works. Edit: Did anyone try the Black theme I made? I think it looks really cool. EDIT2:I just checked Github and looks like it dumps the dsp into /3ds, not the dumps directory.

Can I contribute to the app and download repos? I could add some of my SB3 programs to the download repo, and I might be able to help with the app.
@CY64 For some reason, Github only allows you to compare things, not make a pull request to add files, though its not a problem with your repo, I can't do it on my own private ones either.

@HTV04, yes, you can contribute to the code and download repositories. I'd appreciate help with the code. (I'll update the code repo more often then) For anyone: If you add your projects, please follow the rules that the README contains there. @splapoon That's weird. I'll try myself too when I come home.

Is the problem, that you two aren't collaborators for my repos or that my repos have "Restrict editing to collaborators only" enabled? I've sent you two a collaborator request and disabled "Restrict editing to collaborators only" for the download repo. That way, you two can edit my code/assets and everyone (with a GitHub account) can edit the download repo, to e.g. add projects. EDIT: I have yet to find out, if it works cuz I can't make another account. EDIT 2: Sorry for spamming the activity pages.

Cool, this has become a thing right now. Going to try the first release of the Alpha-Build when I can. I'll explain the problems/issues of it later.

Better use the latest release of the build. The current ones may be unstable but I'm improving stability and start work on the download menu right now.

Yes, I was going to use the latest release. Just that I would call it "Alpha-Release" because... Idk.

@CY64

Looks like I have to grant people access to do that by making them collaborators. @splapoon I've invited you as collaborator. After accepting, try again. In order to prevent spam here, everyone who wants to add projects have to DM me their GitHub account name, so I can add them. (I'm not a robot, lmao)

I just added a painting application I created as an example. I'm a bit new to github and joined 2 weeks ago.

Nice! Maybe I should improve my wording in the readme but I'll update the project list prjlist.txt every Saturday (school eats away any other day) before 8PM CET. You will be able to see the download menu in action in ~3 days when I release the next 3DSX/CIA version. Please try the in-app updater first though, so I can improve it, when needed. EDIT: If my internet provider f's my plan, then I'm sorry!

I tried and it works flawlessly. Just a question though, Is there anything like GIMP that' easier to use, I'm working on a rainbow theme. EDIT: I think it makes a 0 byte file called app.cia

Thanks for making this a reality, CY! Just one question. In case we get to release the final version of SB3 Download Station, is it possible to make the Download Station for SB4? Because im planning to make a download station for SB4 too, but not right now.
