SmileBASIC occasionally glitches with files

Root / SmileBASIC Bug Reports / [.]

Hey peoples of the smilebasic source i had a problem with (mainly) sprite files. So basically (pun intended), I started making more sprites over another sprite set i loaded, and eventually i saved so i wouldn't loose all my new sprites. And after working on them a bit more, i saved and thought nothing of it other than "ooohhh more sprites". So when i went to use my sprites from my originally loaded set, they were the same as the sprite set i made earlier. So i basically lost all my original sprites. Anyways, i want to know what happened and how to fix it in the future (if there is a solution.) And no, i saved the newer sprites i made over the original ones something else. So it wasn't because i put the same name.

I'm not sure, to undersand you right. You have done theese Steps. 1. load custom-Sprits (Filename1) via build-in Tool 2. Change the Sprites 3. Save this new Data with a different Filename (Filename2). 4. You tried to load the first File (Filename1) in your program, but it's look like the second file (Filename2). Is this so correct, or have I misunderstand you?

check @BACKUP.GRP maybe ?

No, your correct. I'm still confused.

I (like an IDIOT) deleted it for "space" and being less "crowded" when it comes to files. Lol I'm an idiot

And what's even sadder is I made them over my Pvsz2 sprites, and lost cabbage pult, potato mine, wall nut, spikeweed, half of my boomerang sprites, and my sunflower sprites (that were, THANK GOD, restored.) But what is even worse, is i lost almost all those plants because of the fact I wanted to make a background color, when BGFILL is a thing, and didn't require a space in my sprite set, much less OVER MY SPRITE WORK. (But at least now I can call myself and idiot and truly mean it!!!)
