I don't think I need anything in particular right now. Draw what you feel I'll need. I'll let you know if I need anything in particular.

this seems interesting. i hope im around to get the key

Thanks for finding interest in this game! Unfortunately, due to a delay in the programming and being a lot busier lately, the release date has been moved back to Friday. Because of this being postponed, I've decided to add a little bit more to the demo such as more effects, a possibly better cutscene, and hopefully new sprites and/or background tiles(no pressure, SquiVolt). Hang around for the new demo! ~GreedyGoat8

Ok everyone! The new team name is going to be Int Elligence! You can see for yourselves. I actually barely posted this on the 25th, sorry, but stuff has been going on all day. Again, sorry for the delay. The time I am posting this is 0:10.

I've been thinking lately. Zelda isn't Zelda without cutting bushes and breaking pots, so maybe you could implement them?

Eggs-actly! I was indeed planning on incorporating this feature, but that will be saved for later wen I have more time. I didn't know you could read brains...

Yesh! That was pretty close though. Squivolt if you would like to show off your auti- I mean artistic skills, you have been given the option to create a logo for Int Elligence. You don't have to if you don't want to, though.

Yeah! A logo would be nice. If you don't want to make it, though, I would be willing too. But you are the artist after all. You should do it, but you don't have too.

Ok everyone! Change of plans! For the map editor we will use the one in randoms big dumb library because it has a ton of map space. If it doesn't work we can always go back.

Emm... I tried randoms big dumb library and the constrains are the same as bgscreen... 127x127 with tiles of 16x16. I've tried TH Mapper (Made by the same person who made the graphic editor TH_GED) and that let you make giant maps with 4 layers (I tried to make a 500x500 map). However, I haven't tried to use that on a project. Other option is newsbtool map editor(Same constrains of 127x127 but it has the best ui of all, plus you can place a rectangle of tiles at the same time like RPGMaker FES). Anyway, a tile editor isn't the only thing to make the map. You need to make a type of file that store the map AND the logic of it (collisions, events, enemies, scripts, etc). Check cave island... there you can see functions that give you the background, the map and the events that it holds (The last part is a bit weird since he created macros to decrease the weight of each file).

I mean the total size of the map. I might not know what you mean but I think you mean the map on screen at once.

I mean the total map (Map on screen plus the map that isn't rendered yet or offscreen)

Well, crap. I really like the one that's already there in the smile tool. I'm very much accustomed to it, and I don't have enough time to convert the current demo to use random's library.

Oh. Ok, well, I am still trying to figure out the one in the library and how to turn it into map files. Randoms library is actually pretty easy to figure out except turning it into map files. It just says "use RNDLIBFULL to 'unpack' map." Also, you can still use that map. It can be the intro map. It should still be part of the world map after as well, it can be part of it.

Dang! I won't have much time to test! I am going somewhere on the 2nd. I will work on it next and start incorporating randoms library. I will make an overworld map that includes the intro map as part of it. You can use randoms library to make the maps. You copy the text files to the folder for the map. After that you put in the code a thing to load it, which I will put a def in. It will be the one random (not me) told me about. It is pretty simple. I will get into specifics later.

Since I'm using the stick for this game, things are (obviously) different. I prefer the classic square walking like the original LoZ games but I thought It would be fun to try. The problem I'm having is Background collision. For some reason the same thing I use for D-Pad movement won't work for the c stick's free movement. Thanks for the help :)
