I should make it clear. There is no problem at all in disliking something. The problem is in expressing it destructively. Saying "blabla is dumb" might be a bit controversial, yet acceptable; but when you add "why do people in this world like blabla" it becomes downgrading and therefore destructive.
Spoileralso i do not dislike pvz games :)

I would post a progress report but I lost my 3DS for the break and would be reporting nothing. Still haven't found it. And please don't comment about lost 3DSes because I don't want to have to deal with hearing about it every time I lose it. But wait... That is hypocritical!!! well crud.

Well, all that is left for the tutorial is A. the coding (which would not be too long) and B. the lawn (oh boi) my god autocorrect sucks

dude those sprites are like actually really good how

Well, I have my ways, but the main way was DETERMINATION (no not a fan of Undertale in case you wandering). I am just a big fan of plants vs zombies and just (for some reason) really wanted to play it on the 3DS. Edit: also spending like 4 hours every weekend looking and trying your best to copy it in a semi-pixelated way.

Ok I can try that.

Any suggestions on how to do each individual plant for each space on the lawn? Because I hate permutations, so if someone could find a way around it before I waste my time making each and every different possibility of plants, zombie and tile for each possibility, that would be greatly appreciated.

What exactly do you mean by this? Do you want it to automatically place the sprites in the correct positions? I am unsure what you're trying to say.

What I mean is that there are multiple different possibilities of where you can touch the screen, different "tiles" of the lawn, and multiple different plants I have to account for, and I'm asking if there is any way to instead of making every possibility of where you'd touch the screen, what tile you touched, and what plant you have equipped going there along. I don't really know a good way to describe it, but basically there are tons of different possibilities and arrangements of where specific things go and I want to know if there is a way around all that tedious work.

-get sniped son-
So if you mean what I think you mean, you could just divide and round the location by the tile size or something, then multiply it by the same number to get the position. And to change what sprite gets placed, use a different sprite number or even a variable in SPSET.

Huh I may be dumb, but I already knew and was planning on using basically what you said at the end, but the whole idea of dividing and rounding the location by the tile size and multiplying it is a bit confusing for me, so maybe you could go more in depth but I think I get the basis. Also when did I say get sniped son? Oh wait...
