Looks great, but sadly I don't have SB4 ;(
(I could port it to SB3 if you want)
Never "port". Porting is boring. Be imaginative, and do something new with the concept.
Honestly, this isn't a very great concept. I intended to do something much more interesting, but with such a large set of sprites, and a horrible control scheme, it didn't end up as precise as I'd've liked.
I was aiming for a fast and frantic game, but the bike turned too slowly, and the graphics are too chunky, and it kinda breaks itself because of those issues.
I can do better.
You can do better.
Do better.
Take the basic idea, and run with it.
Don't port this.
Well, I'm making an RPG based on my Metaverse Project, but it's still on Pre-Alpha. :)
Hey great idea!
I might copy your idea and add a twist! (Is there a word for that? Oh yeah! Remix is one word.)
If you'd like a "better" idea..
The initial idea was like so..
Pizza Biker needs to deliver food, but there are swarms of CoronaVirus infected people wandering the streets.
Try to deliver without getting infected!!!
But with using big chunky graphics, and the controls being "not quite very good", the initial concept broke quite a bit.
If you make it "delivery via walking", instead of the complicated bike controls, then maybe it would would better.
.. And keep the sprites tiny, so you can go CRAZY with the number of pedestrians onscreen, whilst also allowing as much space to move as you can.
Sounds great but please don't make fun of corona
Yeah I might just go with zombies because I feel like everyone is over exaggerating the virus.
For what it's worth.. Although my initial concept might've been "CoronaVirus", that's only because that's what's currently on my (and I imagine everyone else's) mind.
The end result would never have been that.
I tend to "gamify" all of my random thoughts, and simmer ideas until they're suitable for (hopefully) all ages.
You can happily play through most of my games without violence being an issue (except for the occasional cartoonish videogame violence) or evil thoughts popping up.
Games that were forged from some fairly severe moments in my life, have ended up as fun colourful arcade style games.
This, were it still the initial plan, would probably have ended up as fleets of little neon fighters trying to catch you as you drift through the space between safety-zones.
If I ever mention "original concepts", try to imagine the better version, not the worst!!
Yeah
That's actually a cool idea, to turn your current thoughts whatever they are into a game. I've gotta try that!
