Instructions:

I'm not sure it's possible to do it with any arbitrary string because "edd" and "wedd" both give "eddway" as a result but you could make some assumptions based off of English words.

Of course, you could make the rules more complicated like http://www.wordplays.com/pig-latin which avoids such collisions.
