(Off-topic) Emulation Discussion

It does seem like Nintendo kills the nostalgia with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Switch, and in other words, Nintendo's being a true hypocrite about emulation and other kinds of nostalgia.

I saw you post that yesterday on the other thread and I had no idea what you meant.
What I mean is that the nostalgia is used on Spirits mode, but Nintendo has ruined the nostalgia. It does seem like Nintendo kills the nostalgia with Super Smash Bros. Can you describe how though? What I mean is that the nostalgia is used on Spirits mode, but Nintendo has ruined the nostalgia. It does seem like Nintendo kills the nostalgia with Super Smash Bros. Here's the soapbox about how Nintendo ruins the nostalgia by taking down ROM sites and bringing up ROMs in the Virtual Console/Nintendo Switch Online library:

It's not really just about nostalgia, it's about how they're so reluctant Nintendo is to accept emulation and the community. Instead of being open to fan ideas like Sega is (and that's how Sonic Mania was made!) and worrying less about their older games, they instead try to shut down anything they consider "unofficial uses of their IPs," regardless of whether it's REALLY old consoles like the NES.
For anyone who uses iOS 12+, Riley Testut (GBA4iOS creator) is releasing a new multi-emulator soon (named Delta). You can currently get a preview (or Lite version) of it by getting the AltStore preview: https://altstore.io/
I've already tried it (the Lite version) and it's pretty damn cool to be able to play NES games on my iPhone, and when it fully releases on Saturday, you'll be able to play from a much bigger variety of Nintendo consoles (the main highlight here is N64 support).
