Need Help with importing binaries...

KEY: EK2478AV I tried to import a midi file by using sbfm, and importing it as a single-dimension "int" dat file. The data gets corrupted. I delete and try other options, like col dats and other things, but my data is still corrupted. If the file was not corrupted, then when you run the included program, it would display the length as 6, and the channels as 16 or less. I've been trying all day, but I really need you to help... How are binary files like audio and video transferred to SB?

Ummm... why dont you try a mimi to mml converter

I heard of this, and it supports smilebasic mml You should provide a link

Besides the whole midi thing, I still need to know how to do this for my larger project.

Sorry, but 16 channels smashed together to make 8 sounds terrible. My point is that I want to be able to import DAT files like how other people do with video or PCM audio samples.

12Me21's long wav player

No, I mean actually what did they do to convert the raw binary data from their computer to SmileBASIC without any problems

Its really easy, you don't.

Okay, but how?

I'm going to be honest, in this situation, your best bet is to convert MIDI to Allegro beforehand a lot easier to convert too

Same, just TRY to convert your file, then reconvert again once you obtain it.
