Japocalization: Translating your game to Japanese

Notice: This was originally made as a guide for translating Super Bomber Blast into Japanese. The Use of English: As the English Language is well associated with video games (and the writing systems were hard to input at the time), Japanese Video Games used a few English words (let's not forget that the Japanese borrowed many English words after the Occupation of Japan, but that's a story for another time). For a few games, you'd probably write「セーブ」(Save) or「ロード」(Load) instead of「保存する」(Save) and「負荷」(Load). Sometimes, a few words are kept in English in video games, for example, the GUI for retro games, like Super Mario World, stay in plain English, and words like “Game Over” & “Push Button” too, this applies to most languages. Don't translate it all. Using Kanji: Back in the past, the Japanese language was a bit difficult to use for games & computers, so the Japanese had to make do with certain options: Write in kana only: Write in only kana, no kanji; this was used for most games at the time. Write in Katakana only: This is a bit more rare, few games did this. Write in English only: A few games like Megaman did this. Write with kana, and a few kanji: Kirby's Adventure, in Japan, did this for a few things. Capcom games did this too. Even though most, if not, all, kanji are usable in Smilebasic, not many are easily to read, so using limited (readable) kanji is the best option, in my opinion.
