How to capture game/program screenshot?

My apologies for the NOOB question... but I see that many people who have submitted games/programs have managed to include nice screenshots. Is there a way to do this that doesnt include a 3DS screen capture card on my PC? I have yet to actually submit a program to the cloud... so perhaps I am missing some easy information. Thanks!!

It's easy. When you want to screenshot something, press the home button. Then go on miiverse. Post the image, and go on PC or mobile and save the image. Now upload it to here and you're done.

Don't even have to post it, you can just save it to your screenshot album

It's basically just a family friendly nintendo related social media platform. Not much to it really.
