extreme homebrew request

Ok. So I want to downgrade and or homebrew my old 3ds. It is 10.7 and I don't have money for cubic ninja or power saves. So yeah I'm in a tough situation. I also have a non-homebrewed New 3ds but Idc about the old one so I want to homebrew it. Any tips?
