Behold, the first program with an SB4 public key on SmileBASIC Source (I think)! I feel accomplished. So, you thought the new text system would move people away from ASCII games, huh? Nope. This is joelable’s ASCII Platformer, ported to SmileBASIC 4 for the Nintendo Switch! You’ll need a Nintendo Switch and SmileBASIC 4 (which is currently Japan only), the key won’t work on anything with SmileBASIC 3 (3DS, New 3DS, Wii U), etc. I made minor changes, such as constant additions, some text changes, some level changes, control stick support, and a sound effect for changing gravity. Not much has changed other than those minor changes, though (other than the code, of course).

Notes:

Huge props to joelable for making this in the first place. He called the game boring on the original program, but I think it’s anything but. It’s really awesome, and it’s one of the first games I downloaded on SmileBASIC 3, and it’s also one of the first programs on SmileBASIC Source. I don't understand, why did Smilebasic not allow you to download SB4 Programs on SB BIG & SB3?

They aren’t compatible because of the new formats that were introduced in SB4.

True, but what if we want to port programs?

What about fake OSs?

The new formats make this impossible. And SmileBoom wants to encourage the use of SB4 as a new language, so they’re not going to include porting tools into SB3 because SB3 has less features (and is an older version of the language), so there would be no point. SB3 projects and files can be ported to SB4, however, as SB4 supports SB3 public keys. GRPs, will be DATs when you download the project though, because SB4 uses a new GRP format. I believe there’s two commands you can run to convert them to SB4 GRPs, but I forgot what they were. If you really wanted to try and port an SB4 program to SB3, I think there’s a PetitModem port somewhere that allows you to Simplex transfer files to a 3DS. But you won’t be able to port DATs or GRPs.

With a cursor like that SB4 is just screaming to get a Mock OS made for it

Note for anyone who's downloaded this program: I have issued new keys for all of my published SB4 works. Please download this program again or you will no longer receive updates as the old keys are now invalid.
