I have dedided that it's been a while since we've had a contest, and anyone who still uses SB nowadays might want to participate in some Halloween fun! Here are the rules: All material must be created in the time frame by the participant using it. You can use a library/engine if you have have permission to use it from the creator of that library/engine. Theme: Spooky/creepy stuff Brownie points: include skeletons in some creative way More brownie points: it's a secret to everyone There are no rewards except brownie points and bragging rights, so don't expect anything. Just have fun! CHRISTMAS IS ONLY 2 MONTHS OFF! Deadlines: Submition: October 31 Voting: November 5 Do something fun!

Question: I am working on a textured raycaster. I have it working(mostly) and I am working on sprites and some visual glitches(which I probably won't solve and ask the forums about) Am I allowed to use this raycaster I'm working on? And far as art has gone, I have made a red brick wall, and a (ugly)blue rock wall.

I'm fine with anything as long as the first version is released within the submission period.

Well, time to finally make a game.

That's nice Just so everyone knows, you should put your submission in a post on this thread.

If you feel like you want to participate at all, please participate. That would really help boost the competition and stuff.

I'm gonna participate. After I procrastinate by posting games

Might try to participate. Can we make a SB4 game, or should it still be for 3DS?

I would prefer 3DS, since I don't have SB4 and I'm probably not the only one, but it'll be fine if you prefer to use SB4.

RGRPG Spooky Edition?

so ive decided im gonna make a puzzle top down gaeme with puzzles and mysteries? yae

I'll probably try, but no promises as I stink at coding or at least I think I do. If I can't make it in time, I'll probably release it later. So have fun competition!

Also what type of spooky? Do you mean spooky like scary, or spooky Like it supposed to be scary but it's really goofy? Or can you do both?

spoopy

??? Da fud?

Well, I think I know what I'm making.
Spoileri be a fan of Ghostbusters. I literally just made sprites for them right before I found this thread. Well, I need to get to coding! They were based off pokèmon trainer from pokèmon red, although their not the same. No I don't think it'll be stopped by smile boom's servers because I was able to get away with plants vs zombies so the odds are slim.

I don't care what kind of spooky. If you want to follow the theme, it doesn't matter. And even then, you don't have to follow the theme. It's there for inspiration and to get people into Halloween and stuff. You don't have to follow the theme, but keep in mind that people will be voting for the best entry. Anyway, you can build anything you want (that's appropriate for anyone here, so probably age 12+) from the theme.

Well, I guess I kinda fit that theme. I've been working on the game all day, although I feel like the code is disgusting, so when I (if I) release it, we'll find out. Also the (character) sprites were based off red from pokèmon, and the code up is based off of petit professor's code, which means I based the game around the code, edited it, and coded off of it. Hopefully I can finish it in time.
