Virtual Pet Ideas
[poll=p47][/poll] So I got the inspiration for a virtual pet. A dog, to be exact. I was thinking a bit more complex than MyPet, and more fun. Its a good opportunity too because as a super rusty programmer it'll be my first time actually accomplishing something. I wanna use text only since I'm not there yet, but then the AI will have to be more complex (and longer, consuming more disk space). I also had a funny idea last night where you could play a piano/MML version of Dogsong and the dog would dance. That could be scrapped though. But yeah. I at first thought fancy, unbelievable stuff but then theres several limitations to work around AND its just too much... But what I'm going with now is fairly easy. I have what it takes, it'll just take a long time. Like...

I don't think it's very classy to compare a concept to something else someone made whilst calling the concept better.
As I'm thinking about it now, I feel like saying I've made a virtual pet thing before on another software very similar to SmileBASIC. It didn't get shown to anyone because I "didn't get very far."

I have gotten back into actual programming, and made a mod manager for Quake Live. Unfortunately I lost my 3DS charger by sheer unluck so I cannot use SmileBASIC until I purchase a new one, I've been saving up for a Vega 64 8GB so I'm debating whether or not I should shell out money for a new 3DS charger. If I do, I will definitely pick up basic and make this past dream of mine real just because I can. When I do, I'll post a new thread.
